Dark Path Of Life

We all have those times in life we really do not like to talk about. I know because I have had them more then once. I just read a blog of a person who has attempted suicide, have anger issues, and cannot trust anyone. It gave me a flashback to about 10 years ago. I feel I should share this to everyone and I hope this helps anyone who even thinks about suicide because life is not fair, life is challenging. This is why my blog is called Challenge In Life.

I have had issues my whole life. Since I was ten months old I have had epilepsy. When i was 5 I almost died from having multiple seizures all day long. Since then I have been lucky to be alive. In 2012 I had surgery in my left temporal lobe had part of it removed to fix the seizures. Since then the seizures have stopped. I have to stay on my meds for the rest of my life, but I am on a lot less than I use to be. About a year ago I had a stroke and since I have had memory issues.

The Good Times A Long Time Ago

When I first started out on my own back in 2000 I felt everything was good. I made new friends, had a job, got a promotion, and was free from my parents. I was happy. I did some things that I regret today but that is not what we are talking about. I was building my confidence in being a man. Things started going bad and I wussed out. I called my mother and went back to her place. I missed living on my own so I tried it again and went back to where I went when I moved out before. I got an old job back with no problem. Then things started to go bad at my parents’ home.

Family Comes First

I have always believed that family came first. Things have been going bad for years in my parents home, but that is because my step-dad has been developing dementia. It is like he is losing his mind. I moved back home to help my mom around the house so she could focus more on taking care of him. I was lucky because my employer got me transferred. I believe that was God working.

The Job is not Everything

I actually enjoyed the job, although it seems it comes to an end. I was working in a grocery store in the deli. Now this store was in the bad part of town and is no longer around. Customers that came in everyday had to complain about everything that is including how you sliced their meat, how much was in a pound, and how much it cost. Some things you cannot fix. I have always loved making people happy, but when I started here is when people complaining about the little things started getting my love for helping people to diminish. I was eventually terminated because a customer accused me of skipping him and called me racist. When you have five or six people coming up to the counter you just ask who is next and the first to respond gets helped first. It is sad even today there are people out there that are racist and those that play the racist card every time they do not get what they want. I was without a fulltime job for about two years after that. I had temp jobs, I delivered phone books one summer, and I helped my parents around the house. I even got back together with my father during that time. Although it was not all perfect.

Darkness Comes Look For The Light

When I lost my job I was angry. I wanted to hurt someone or something. I sometimes went out in the woods with a stick and pounded on dead trees to break things. I was hurt. I felt I put my all into the job and puff it was gone. My parents were not a lot of support. They kept bugging me to go find a job and not to rely on unemployment. The thing was it was already in my head. They did not need to keep saying anything. All they needed to say was, “I support you.” or “Keep up the good work.”. I did not know I was learning about positive reinforcement vs. negative reinforcement. Positive reinforcement is defined as adding a pleasant stimulus to enhance the behavior. Negative reinforcement is defined as removing an aversive stimulus to enhance behavior. Now trust me negative reinforcement is not a good thing.

I was in the darkest hole I had ever been in. It took all I could to find a job. I looked online and found nothing. There was one place I did not apply at because I did not like fish, Long John Silvers. I heard they were hiring and I figured I should apply. I also made sure I put my goal for management on my application since I got promoted at a previous job. I was hoping that would get me in the door at least and maybe get promoted eventually. I did not know I would get a little of each.

I was hired at LJS with the intent to promote. I got a little extra pay than a normal hire. The general manager and the area manager wanted me to learn everything. I did just that. I knew how to do everything and even before I got promoted I learned inventory and counting down a cash drawer. I really liked learning, but it comes to an end.

The general manager who hired me and promoted me retired after I had been there for three years. The assistant manager got promoted. She was one of the negative type people. I was new at being a manager and need some support. It took me awhile to get out when closing because I was making sure everything was right. She kept complaing that I was there too late. So I started rushing myself. Then my inventory was off and the safe or cash deposit was off. My assistant manager told me to take my time and get it done right. I was torn between a rock and a hard place. One day I was scheduled to open, which I was only trained one day and not intended to do, and I almost missed the time to make the deposit because I had an employee call off. They decided to demote me and I looked for a new job because my goal was gone.

Even though it did not turn out the way I wanted it to it was the light that brought me out of darkness. It gave me hope and the will to look into the future at what I could do.

Your Path May Not Be The Path

When I left LJS I decided I needed a good paying job so I could have a life. A friend of mine worked at a pharmaceutical company. The schedule was 12 hour shifts, but you worked two days and had two days off, worked one weekend and had one weekend off. It was not horrible but could have been better. I got stuck on night shift and could not get on days. It conflicted with my parents especially on the weekend. My step-dad had a problem about keeping his voice down and not talking when he was walking down the hallway. I was going to college online at the time as well. It was hard to compromise of what to do when I had off work. I wanted to help out but he always did things when I had to work. I eventually gave up and put my focus on work and college. If something needed done and I had the time I did it. Maybe I put too much on my plate and should have focused on moving forward in life and not college. I eventually lost my job because I forgot to do a procedure. Having seizures and memory issues due to the surgery has been a challenge and that’s why I lost the job.

History Repeats Itself

It did not take me long to find another job. I was a little angry that I got fired but not disappointed. I was looking around for a new job but did not find anything either I wanted or got a call back. I took about a month off to recoup from working 12 hour shifts on nights and to calm down some. I did not want to walk into a potential employer and look angry. I went to the temp agencies and I got an assignment and got hired after six months. I really enjoyed this job. I was testing military and commercial circuit boards. I even took a class and learned how to solder. I enjoyed the job. It came to an end the day when Human Resources questioned me on a board I moved to the wrong department. She had a email in the router that said it had to go there so I followed the instructions. Well unfortunately I misunderstood it or it could have been a little more direct by stating what step on the router. She referred to my misreading the email as “stupid” by calling me stupid. I took offense to that and lost my cool with her and reported her to the Vice-President. A few days later she terminates me. I think it is because she took it personal. Since it seems like I cannot hold a job down for more than four years I am looking into getting SSI. I hope I can do more for others now that I do not go to work everyday. I plan on volunteering when everything gets settled. Maybe there are more out there like me that I can help.

We Do Not Always Choose Our Path

Our path is not always our choice. The path we should be going down is set for us by God, but we do not always listen where we should go. Just because we choose the path does not mean it is our path. If we take the path God made for us the we would be on our path to get to our destination.

Life Can Be Complicated, But it Doesn’t Have to Be

Life Is A Highway

No one has to state it life is not simple. It has it bumps, potholes, curves, and mountains to overcome, but we need to travel it and achieve life. It has been a rough life for me but sometimes the destination we think we have isn’t the destination we are meant to have. I am watch CSI: Crime Scenes Investigations today and the show had Rascal Flatts on it. I decided to go on YouTube and listen to some of their music. Well I was reminded it is not the road we take it is the destination that matters.

The Road We Travel Takes Us To Our Final Destination

Life is a road we travel everyday. It can be a hard road or a straight and narrow road whatever it is it will takes us to our final destination eventually. We do not have a map or GPS to show us where we are going, but we do have a guide we need to trust. That guide is Jesus Christ. Unfortunately He is not as clear as a GPS, not that they are 100% reliable either, but he does have a reason. We travel down these rough roads to learn right from wrong, smart from stupid, and kind from mean. Sometimes we do not know why we are where we are at but we need to have faith that He will show us what path to take. There are no shortcuts in life. Trust me I have tried them and have been set back further than I was when I started. We just need to have faith that He will show us where and when to go where He wants us to go. So simple, but complicated. That’s life!

Straying From Our Path

When we stray from the path we are on we get trapped in the unknown. Before you know it your clear path becomes a swamp, woods, or a huge mountain that seems impossible to cross. We need to learn from this and trust in ourselves and God to take us back to where He wants us. To find the path you should be on look into yourself. What is your true heart’s desire to make a great life for you and your family. Something that is not selfish or egocentric. God made you the way you are for a reason and maybe you need to accept that you will be able to do what He wants you to do. We all have strayed from the path He has set us on, we are not perfect, but He will helps us get back on the right path.

Living And Being Happy

Have you had your days of being sad? I know I have. What you need to do is figure out what it is and either remove it from your life or give it to God and He will take care of it. If it is meant to be with you, like your spouse, then He will help you solve the issue and settle the sadness in your heart. If it is meant for you to move on, like a job, then He will open a door to a new and better job. Whatever the problems are wrong in life let God take care of them and He will. There will always be unhappy times in our lives it is inevitable. What we need to do is deal with the problems and resolve them sooner, not let them stay with us for the rest of our lives. The more it hangs with us then it is like having more potholes in your road of life. Sooner or later your car is going to blow a tire. So either fix the tire over and over again or fix the potholes and keep the tires.

10 Signs It’s Not Your Body, But Your Soul That Is Tired

Life Gets Hard

I have been in a rough life the past eight years. I read this article and thought I better share this because it fits everything I have gone through. There were times I couldn’t get enough sleep, I had headaches, and I was so stressed I didn’t even know why. I needed peace and quiet. The last two years I have been living by myself and just lost my job about two months ago. I have not felt better now than I did a long time ago. I have had acute pain on the right side of my body. It still bothers me but it is getting better. I notice when I am around people that annoy me it flares up.

We all need to minimize stress in our lives and in the lives of our friends and family. Try to be nice and help people out like carrying groceries or just saying “thank-you”. Kindness can go a long way. Maybe if a few of us do one kind act then it will spread and everyone will do kind acts.

Golden Globe-winning actress Katherine Helmond, a frequent scene-stealer on shows such as “Who’s the Boss?” and “Soap,” has died, her talent agency APA told CNN Friday. She was 89. “She was the love of my life. We spent 57 beautiful, wonderful, loving years together, which I will treasure forever,” her husband, David Christian, said in a statement. “I’ve been with Katherine since I was 19 years old. God’s Advice That Should Be Followed Throughout All Life: “Be Kind One To Another”

Words: The Greatest Power We Have

We use them everyday, but do not think of how we use them. What are they? Words! Words can be the best thing one uses or they can take a government down in a day. One person may not think their words are offensive, but the receiver may take it hard. It is always better to speak positive than it is negative in any case. Positivity will encourage people to do better.

Using Negative Words Brings Negative Response

Everyone has emotions, even the people that seem like they do not. We all take everything differently than the next person so saying some negative words to one person may not bother them, but saying to the next one my cause a complete breakdown. This is why on should focus on being positive even when correcting a child or an employee.

5 Things Should Not Happen In the Workplace

Using negative words in everyday life can be rationalized, but using them in the workplace cannot be accepted. When a business want to move towards success then it needs to boost production with positive influence. Here are a few words that should not be used in the workplace.

  1. Calling a person stupid no matter how you refer it
    1. When you call a person stupid, idiot, dumb, or retard it does not matter if you say, “You are stupid” or if you say, “Doing that is stupid.”. What matters is the word one uses and it is still referring to the person. It tears down ones self-respect and can cause disrespect to authority.
  2. Hopelessness
    1. Have you ever felt jaded? Well if you have you may have felt that you had no hope. Supervisors need to show a hopeful attitude towards their crew. If their supervisors seem hopeless then the employees will be hopeless. When people feel hopeless they will believe no matter how much effort they put into it they will never get enough done.
  3. Too much overtime
    1. Now do not get this wrong overtime is great, especially when you get your paycheck. Although there is a such thing as too much of a good thing. When a employer works you 7 days a week 12 hours a day and no day off allowed then you are going to wear down and make mistakes. Your production will probably cut in half by the second week. No matter how much sleep you get you will probably start falling asleep at work by the end of the month. Then when you believe it will never end you may go look for another job but not have the time. Some may intentionally get fired to get out of there. If this ever happens to you take it as long as you can and save the money. When it starts to get to you go see your doctor. You can get a doctor’s excuse to get out of mandatory overtime.
  4. Threaten
    1. It only takes common sense no one likes to be threatened. Using a negative word can be conceived as a threat. If a person is belittled by a superior they could take it the wrong way. If a superior does not see you as a benefit to the team then you are no value to them anymore. So the person may see it necessary to stand for themself and go to the higher up. They may even make a threat that could be misconceived. In any situation making a threat is not good. The reason being it will come back at you one way or another.
    2. Every action has equal but opposite reaction- Sir Isaac Newton Third Law of Motion.
  5. You are a liar or you are wrong
    1. Why do some people believe everything they are told and others never believe what they are told? Well I believe it is because of self-confidence and trust. It may not be with whom they work with, it maybe from childhood. There are situations that people will lie and people will speak the truth. Like if a person is caught shoplifting they may say, “Oh I found it on the floor.”. Well one they lost trust as soon as they committed a crime and two they were probably caught because someone saw them do it. But if they are in a interview and they have on there they are the grandchild of the President of the United States and are called a liar then it is unjust. The manager should follow up and check to see if it is true. If it is then maybe call the person back in for a second interview if not then let it go. Making false accusations can be a crime. So we all need to think before we act.

Cause and Effect

It all comes from the beginning. The more negative thoughts, comments, actions, and responses grow the more negative will be reproduced. The only way to defeat the evil negative forces is with positivity.

Positive Reinforcement Will Always Succeed

How do you feel when someone tells you, “Good Job!”? Does it boost your ego a little. If it does that is good and natural. That is positive reinforcement. Some case are like instead of calling a person “stupid” you let them know how to improve or prevent. For example, “That was stupid to go outside without your jacket on you will get sick.”. Instead use, “You going outside, it is a little chilly here is your jacket to keep warm.” By being positive and handing them their jacket you are giving a choice to wear their jacket. It gives them the feeling they made the decision to put on their jacket, which the reason they did not wear their jacket was probably a case of rebellion to make their own choice.

What to Always Stay Positive On

There are many aspects in life both home and work that always should be approached positive. A lot of times we need support to keep moving forward.

Staying positive should not be difficult. We just need to avoid saying negative words, try and leave the word not out of the sentence, and always believe in yourself first. It is not selfish to think of yourself first. When the day comes to an end it will always be you in the end. Now for those who have family and have a complicated family that “alone time” is needed by everyone. Some guys can go out in the garage and work on something and ladies you may like sewing or talking with a friend. Setting a time to be together as a family and apart as individuals can be a good technique to help to stay positive. We can learn more when we are away from family and then bring it to the home and grow the knowledge within. On that always listen. Everything may not be a good idea, some may be pretty ridiculous, but listening helps build encouragement. It will allow them to think more and show them that being wrong is not a bad thing, but learning from mistakes is what helps you grow.

Always Inspire The Next Person To Be Greater

Inspiration is what has founded this country and what has brought us to where we are at in technology today. Taking a person’s inspiration from them may destroy the greatness of the future for mankind. Instead share their inspiration and become more inspired yourself and pass it to the next person. Here are a few quotes I like that I want to share with you.

Respect Is Earned Not Given but Don’t Be Insubordinate

I know we all want a little respect from our family, friends, co-workers, and supervisors. I know I do and I respect people more when they show me respect, but when they disrespect me it is like getting shot in the back. When this happens we need to have more self-control not to fall to their level and disrespect them.

What is Respect?

I often wonder if people get confused of what is respect vs. common courtesy. An example I think of is a man holding a door for a woman. Who goes in first? If the man walks in and holds the door open then I see that as common courtesy, but if he holds the door and lets the woman enter first then that is respect. Taking a step aside is what it takes to show respect. Even if it means shutting your mouth and listening to a person to hear their story of what happened.

Defamation of character is not respect

Have you ever made a mistake? If you say no then you are lying. Now I like to joke around at work and say “I never make a mistake”, but we all do everyday. We are not perfect from day one of the Creation of Adam and Eve. Making a mistake should not be taking to an extreme extent where a person feels that their job, relationship, or financial circumstances may be at risk because of what another person says. When a supervisor belittles you by calling you “stupid” no matter how they refer it it is defamation of character.

I say that to say this. This past week at work I had my supervisor from human resources call me stupid because I misunderstood an email she placed on the product. It doesn’t matter what was on the documents the point I am going to make is how it went down.

The first thing was they could not find the product I had moved. So they came to me and I told them it is where it says it is. Well evidently I put it in the wrong spot in the right room and they had a hard time to find it. This happens a lot. Everyday as a matter of fact. People bring product to me and place it in the wrong spot always and I just go get it. As long as it isn’t at the other end of the building I and 99% of other employees don’t see a big problem. We all need to take initiative to solve the problem not complain about it a create a bigger problem.

When they did find the product they brought to my attention I moved it to the wrong spot. They started with the attitude like they were giving me a lecture. I tried to explain to them the email on the product said to take it where I did. It was on the front of the paperwork so that made it a priority. They continued to mock me by asking if I thought we would do a latter job than the one is due next. Hey i don’t know what crazy ideas they come up with I just follow instructions. They ended up asking, “Are you an idiot?”. That lit the fire within me. I raised my voice and firmly told them that they thought I was an idiot. Of course they denied it. I was threatened to be written up for insubordination. That set me on my protect myself mode.

After the lecture was over it took me a couple hours to simmer down. Once I did I went to the higher up supervisor and told him what happened. I explained that the document should have been more clear. I also told him that call a employee is defamation of character and I may consider legal action. He asked if I was going to act on it now I told him, “No, but if I get written up for doing my job and have to take this from them then I may act.”. While I was trying to cool down I told him my hands were shaking so bad that a fifteen minute job took me an hour to complete. After I left his office my hands stopped shaking. I was calming down already, but still agitated it happened in the first place. Later I saw him “talking” to them in the office. I saw some angry facial expressions so I assume that they were talking about the incident. I started feeling even better knowing it was being dealt with. I didn’t get written up like they said they would.

Now you may think I am bragging and making excuses, but I am not. I want to point out mistakes from both ends. Sometimes we act before we think, but we need to think before we act.

Think Before You Act

It made be hard sometimes but we all need to do a little thinking everyday. I am going to start from the beginning.

Not writing a crystal clear email or document

One thing I do know is when communicating with multiple people you need to make the point clear, crystal clear. I went to American InterContinental University for my Associates Degree in Business Administration. One thing I learned while I was there is don’t write the document for you write it for who you are targeting. It can be difficult because you have to think outside the box at times, although when it comes to employees it should be easy to follow the instructions in the email or on the document. It should state what needs done, where it needs done, and when it needs done. If it doesn’t then it could be misunderstood and an error can be made.

Accepting We All Make Mistakes, Not Assuming That Everything Is Where It Should Be

I don’t know about you but I have lost things at home because I put them in a different spot than I usually do or somebody moved it and didn’t put it back. Actually I did it this mourning. I went out last night to do some shopping before we get the two feet of snow we are going to get. I needed one more thing this morning so I decided to go early, before the snow. I could not find my keys anywhere. They should have been in my coat pocket or on the table. I stopped and backtracked my steps and I couldn’t recall putting my keys back in my coat or on the table. I thought did I even take them out of the door? Well I opened the door and there they where. For once I am glad I live in a second floor apartment. I say that to say this… I messed up. I had to admit to myself I made a mistake and figure out where and when. If my ego got in my way I may have never found my keys. Everyday we all make mistakes some are small ones some are really big ones, like drinking and driving. What we need to do is learn from them and do it better next time.

The biggest mistake I made at work was not moving the product to the wrong spot but lifting my voice to to supervisor. They made the mistake of belittling me, but I should have been better than them and kept my cool. I did have a legit reason to get upset. Although that does not mean you should do it. For instance you need to get home and your friend is drunk and you two are using his car. Should you take the keys and drive yourself? Well depends, have you been drinking too. If you have even on beer and drive you could be over the legal limit. If your are both trashed then it is not safe for either to drive. So just because it sounds good in your head does not mean it is good.

We All Are Created Equal

I just want to say I firmly believe that we are all equal. Even when it comes to supervisors and employees. It is just the employees need to follow the leaders. We all need leaders even leaders need leaders. Sometimes the leaders look at us to see what they should be doing. All this comes down to respect. Showing respect to everyone is hard, but we can do it. If everyone showed respect to the other person then there would be no disrespect. My favorite scripture from the King James Holy Bible is…

Ephesians 4:32 King James Version (KJV)

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Bad Times Can Come Back To Haunt You

My life was not simple. Childhood was difficult, teen years were hard, and going into adulthood seemed to be a killer. It was hard growing up and accepting my life. Getting over the past is hard, when you do it can come back to haunt you.

Childhood was not easy

Growing up is difficult in my opinion, although I would give anything to be a kid again. My parents got divorced when I was seven. I saw my dad for a few years after then it stopped. I didn’t see him again until I was 26. I was unemployed at the time and it was like God sent him to me.

My step-father has never been close to me. The main issue is he is from a different generation than my mother, thirteen years older than her. I tried to get close to him but it has seemed that he never did it to me. He thinks that buying me things like my first car shows love, I do not. I think time and sacrifice shows love. It can be throwing a baseball or giving up the TV remote it does not matter a small act of kindness will last longer than an object like a car. I cannot remember when he showed me an act of kindness without hesitation or frustration. That has hurt me for over thirty years and I am done with it. I have cut him off entirely.

My mother on the other hand has been good to me, a little over concerned, but good. I have had epilepsy since I was 10 months old. My mom has been a little overprotective not letting getting into sports, taking me out to hang with friends, or believing what I said. The meds I have been on over the years have made me drowsy, zombified, anti-social. This has made kids think I was weird. I was different am still am today. Although being more social and accepting people for whom they are helped me get to who I am. I did get into basketball and soccer in high school. The way I did it was not tell her about it until I was on the team. Played the guilt trip card. It made her feel more guilty to make me quit the team than to let me make the choice to take a chance.

Growing up is not easy

Did you ever think life was a little confusing? Well I did. When I was in my late teens into my 20s my spirit started coming out. I went to a baptist school and a pentecostal church. At school I learned the basics in Christianity: love one another, kindness, salvation, heaven and hell. When I went to church I learned more about praise and worship and women in the ministry. They had me believing in it firmly all because of a couple of scriptures. The pastors at this church were a couple 60s gurus that smoked joints and wanted peace. They established this church to spread what they believed. Their beliefs in dancing in church, speaking in tongues, and women as pastor brought up some conflicts in my soul. I prayed for almost a year for it and did some research. I stopped going and started watching the sermons on TV, eventually I returned to church at the school I graduated from. I felt like I was suppose to be there.

The first time leaving home can be hard. I went to college after I graduated high school. I did not graduate because I moved out of town and lived my life. I didn’t stay focused on college. Hindsight tells me I should of waited a semester and enjoyed my “free time” after high school. But cannot fix the past. I did learn a lot of what to do and what not to do, I think more of the latter. Eventually I got stressed and afraid of the next rent and wanted to go home. I called my mom and moved back home I also got transferred from the job I had to a local one in my hometown. Spending time with family was good I even went back to college and got my degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management. Things did get more difficult though.

When I was done with college I tried starting a business in advertising. At this time I was working on night shifts for twelve hours. I did some of the business while I was on break at work, just like I did my college discussions. I kept doing more research on advertising, targeting, and getting likes but I was not doing great. It seemed to be getting better, more affective. Then I lost my job and became severely depressed. I thought about suicide, I was angry at myself, I was hurt because I could not get someone to say, “It will be ok. I have your back.”. I felt alone and cast out from everyone. It took about a month for me to start casually looking for a job, but when my lawyer won me my unemployment I saw a ray of hope. I actually started looking online, selling things I did not need anymore, and going to temp to hire agencies. I got a job and today am still there. It isn’t my favorite job but I do like it. I wish I could go back to food service and get paid enough to live my life, but that road is gone. Now I am learning new things, living on my own, and I feel like I am at home.

I moved on a few years latter and went back into food service. I wanted to be a manager and got hired as crew to be promoted to manager. I was trained in everything and learned some manager task along the way. I was promoted about two years after I was hired. This gave me the passion to go back to college to learn more even start my own business. I lost my position due to my general manager’s scheduling. I was trained to close and work swing shifts. I was scheduled to open on a weekday and had inventory to do. I was not trained how to handle the shift and almost got to the bank late and ended up short a worker. Once I was demoted I saw my goals had changed. I found a better job. I was working twelve hour shifts three to four days a week. I was making about three times as much but had little time.

The Future

I like where I am at now but I hope to find someplace a little better. I would like to own my own house, have a dog, and grill out with friends. I want a job that I do not have to worry about getting mandated for overtime when I have things I want to do or need to do. Tell you the truth I wish I could hit the lottery so I would not have to worry about work again, but the truth is I would still get a job or volunteer somewhere. I enjoy working I just do not enjoy the idiots in charge. One day maybe a dream or two will come true in my life and maybe even in your life. Who knows maybe life is just a dream.

Evolution Is Wrong: Generation Z Proves It

Today’s generation is complaining about every little thing they can. Recently they have complained about Baby It’s Cold Outside as being sexist. The song comes from back in the ’50s. It is a very good song and one I have enjoyed as a child.

I am not going to go into ruining Christmas or why this song is or isn’t offensive. What I am going into is the fact that this generation is so lazy and narrow minded we as humans are devolving. In fact just going back to the 1950’s we can see we have not evolved we devolved. The only thing we have done good on is technology. This points out that evolution is not possible. If man cannot improve over 70 years then how can a single cell organism grow into life on Earth?

You may have guessed it I am a Christian. I have been a born again believer since I was 12 years old. I have always wondered how a person could believe in evolution. It is not like you can leave the dishes in the sink and they are magically clean all of a sudden. I have even found it humiliating that we were to be believed to come from apes. I have always found it easier to believe in an Omnipotent God that spoke us into being rather than an atom, an accident, always existing and by accident creating us.

You see God everyday. The sky, the trees, the stars, you are what God created and has a purpose to be on this planet. I have days that are bad to me and I remember God has a purpose for me.   If you are not a Christian the end of time is coming soon. Have Faith and take Jesus Christ as your Saviour and you will live eternally in Paradise if not you will burn eternally in Hell.

Sinner’s Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name.

Amen

The Road of Life Is Not Easy

It always seems like everyone else has better days than you do, right!? Well do not deny it because I have that attitude most of the time. The truth is we all have rough patches in our lives…

I  have had some hard times in the past, but this is one that was one of the big ones. I did learn from it and move on in my life. Unfortunately it took me two years to do it. Not easy to live life every day.

Where Do We Go After Death According To The Bible

Changes at Greater Nanticoke Area after Student’s Seizure

NANTICOKE, Pa. — Greater Nanticoke Area school administrators made changes after a 12-year-old student athlete suffered a frightening seizure. The seizure happened on a school bus after a softball game. A Newswatch 16 investigation last month found the girl suffered a grand mal seizure. She also had a concussion and was left unattended for more than six minutes.

This should have never happened! The issue isn’t the substitute coach’s knowledge of seizures it is he sat after seeing it happening the first time. I have had seizures since I was 10 months old. I had one on the school bus on the way home one day when I was in high school. The students on the bus noticed me and told the bus driver. She pulled over and called for an ambulance. I was not friends with these students, but they did the right thing. He should have told the bus driver to pull over and call 911. He should be charged with negligence. When a child is supervised by their coach they are responsible for their safety and he did not fulfill his responsibilities. I don’t think this should fall on the school district, but they should also fire him. Sorry but I take this very personnel.

God’s Advice That Should Be Followed Throughout All Life: “Be Kind One To Another”

We all have a complicated life. Some of us have problems with finances, some of us with friends, some of us with the lost of a loved one, and some have problems with peers and parents growing up. I am going to focus on the latter. I am focusing on a problem I have had since I was seven. It has been difficult for me to comprehend because the Bible says,

Ephesians 4: 31,32

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

The main point is “Be kind on to another”. When people can never be kind it is hard to put away the bitterness.

Childhood was Difficult and not Happy

I have always believed childhood should be a happy time. A time to learn, to grow up, to experience new things all the time, but now I look back a believe that childhood is a rough hard road that we need to battle. We grow strength from learning from our challenges, unfairness, and the neglect we had as a child. When we grow up we are responsible for ourselves and have full control.

School was not always great

There are reasons I believe this. One of the main ones is because of all the troubles I had in school. I was always harassed in elementary school. My step-father, which I will get to soon, did not believe me, my mother did although. When I was in public school my sister saw kids pushing me around, calling me names, and even trying to pick a fight.

When I was in the second grade I begged my mother to take me out of public school. She did and put me into a Christian school. I made a few friends there, which are still friends today, but there were more jerks then nice people. I still got picked on, but the teachers and the principal did something about it. I even got into a couple fights my four years there. One was when we were on our ski trip. When the principal found out he pulled the guy off the slopes and sat him in the ski resort. The principal also suspended him. My friend left that school and went to a different Christian school so I went with them.

School gets better

This is the school I graduated from and the church I go to today. Here I had more friends, but had some religious differences. There were a few people I wish were never there, but we cannot have a day go the way we want it to all the time. Some things happen for a reason, because God has a purpose for it. One thing I have learned from what I put up with through school is always be kind to people around you. You may never know if a person is having a good day or bad day, lost a loved one or expecting a newborn, or has a lot of stress on their mind or is the happiest person on earth. Keep your mind open because you may be there to save a person or they are there to save you.

Father issues since I was a child

Now earlier I mentioned about my step-father not believing me on the problems I had in school. Well it did not stop there. I do not always believe a person at first, but when it gets consistent then I get curious if it is true or not. That has never been my step-dad.

When I wanted to go out to eat on Sunday after church I knew I had to  bother my mother. If I even mentioned it to my step-father he would not take us out. Then I wondered if he did not take us because we asked to go. I thought he did not like us asking to go out to eat. Now I believe it was because it was not his idea. Looking back in life with my step-father he was and is a self-centered, egotistical, selfish, jerk. My whole life I have never liked people like this. The last decade it has been a lot worse. As of New Year’s Day I have had enough! I have cut him off as my step-father, I am no longer talking to him, nor offering any help. It is over 30 years of he is always right and everyone else is always wrong. What happened that Sunday is not really significant. I will say he was saying I was wrong and I had non-argumentative proof that I was right. When a person cannot admit they are wrong sincerely they are guilty of pride and arrogance.

Proverbs 8:13

“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”

You may wonder why I would cut him out of my life. Well it is not as simple as going out to eat after church. He has always been negative. I have been ambitious since I was in high school. Words affect you especially if you hear them your entire life. When all you hear are negative word from a person they make you think negative. Although I have always had a drive to be someone better than him, better than me. I always want to improve myself one way or another. So it has always been like an ongoing fight that no one ever wins. It is no longer worth being near such a negative person that it holds my life, my mind back so much I cannot believe in myself. Now I am focusing entirely on myself. It may sound selfish, but I have given so much of my life away it is time to live. It may not stay constant. Once I am living maybe things will settle, but until then it is time to start my life.

Parents Children Need To Learn From The Lesson Of Life

Parents Let Your Children Fail

All children learn about life. I know life can be hard growing up. One issue I had is I always got bailed out by my mother or my sister. When I hit my teen years I learned I needed to figure things out to be proud of it. I can thank my pastor for that.

2e1ax_content_entry_boys-playing-soccer-121116

I played basketball, soccer, and baseball when I was in school. I had so many fails, but I got up and learned how to do better. I learned myself by improving what I failed at and I improved with others by listening to advice. I definitely learned that one person is never always right. Listen to people around you and then make your own decision. This is part of a child’s independence from their parents. We do make bad decisions, but we always have our parents to go back to to talk to about our mistakes allowing us to improve in life.

It is Hard but, Forgive and Forget

I know we all have hard times in life and we want to blame it on someone other than ourselves. There are some people that the only person they can blame is theirself. Although we should not hold a grudge on anyone especially ourselves. We need to forgive. It does take time, space, and acceptance; but once you can forgive you will have peace. I have shared this video on my music page on my blog, but I want people to see it even more. This song has helped me through life, has helped me accept the hard times as a trial of God, and has lead me in the direction of Salvation of Jesus Christ. I will explain this all to you, but if you wish listen to the song, turn of any noise, put away any distractions even your smartphone unless you are reading my blog from it, and listen not with your ears, but with your heart.

Don Henley

The Heart of the Matter

Lead Me To Salvation

When I was not even a teenager I was the one the kids picked one, beat up, and threatened in school. The only way my mother could see to stop it was take me out of public school and place me in a Christian (Baptist) school. I had no idea what religion was like, I was about to learn.

When I was in school I learned the Bible everyday and had chapel on Fridays. My fifth grade teacher talked to me about Christ and Heaven. She told me He came here over 2000 years ago to die on the cross and rise again the third day to cleanse us of our sins. She also told me we have to have faith and be saved in Him to go to Heaven. Now I was a little unsure back then because before then I had no idea of Heaven or Hell. I also wondered if I sinned again did I need to get saved again. For example a Christian is crossing the road and then sees headlights of an eighteen wheeler coming at the and says a “bad word” do they go to Heaven or Hell. I did learn that once you are saved you are saved unless you reject God and tell Him you no longer want your Salvation. Now you may be wondering how I got to this. This was the time I first heard this song, “The Heart of the Matter”.

I loved the music of the Eagles and when I found a CD of Don Henley’s I had to have it. My mom bought it for me and when I heard the song it took my breath away. It froze me and had my full attention.  When I heard these lyrics is when the tears started to flow and still do, “And the struggles we went through, How I lost me and you lost you, What are these voices outside loves open door, Make us throw of our contentment, and beg for something more.” Here is where my eyes are tearing, “I’m learning to live without you now, but I miss you sometimes, the more I know the less I understand all the things I thought I knew I am learning again,  I’ve been try to get down to the heart of the matter but my will gets weak and my thought seem to scatter,  so I think it’s about forgiveness, forgiveness even if I don’t love you anymore.”

This just reinforced what my teacher was talking to me about when it came to Salvation. The “struggles we went through” for example. We all go through struggles everyday and I was going through a lot at the time. They are trials given to us by God to test us. Also ‘I lost me and you lost you” without Jesus Christ as Savior we are lost. The “voices outside loves open door”‘ is temptation, deception, sin and “something more” is Salvation. We do learn to live with God and we could do that for a long time, but He will keep sending us His Word and never give up. Then when I did “get down to the heart of the matter, my will got weak, and my thought did scatter, so i sought forgiveness, forgiveness” and I was saved in Jesus Christ and baptized at the Door of Fellowship in Williamsport, PA. I was born again. If you want to be saved just say a prayer to God and as for forgiveness of your sins, let Him know you are now dedicated to Him, ask him to show you the way to His path, and ask him to cleanse you. If you want to read the Sinners Prayer read Psalms 51.

Gives Me Peace

This is a very peaceful song. When I have a bad day or tension between family or co-workers I listen to this song. It gives me peace. I don’t know why, but it soothes me like a hurricane becoming blue sky and still water. We all need peace for a few minutes in a day. This is what does it for me. Even when I am at work I stop and listen. I have pulled over before to listen. I believe this song was a gift from God to us. It is sad that love isn’t always simple. Sometimes relationships end and it is no one’s fault. Everything happens for a reason and the reason of this song is for peace in the heart. I hope you like this song as much as I do.

7 Different Kinds of Seizures and Their Symptoms

When we think of seizures, we often only picture how the patient goes into convulsions – but there are actually different types of seizures (divided into major groups) that have varying symptoms depending on where they originate in the brain.

I find this important because I have had seizures my entire life. Everyone needs to be aware of the symptoms because if you are ever around a person having a seizure you need to either help them or call 911.  Life is not easy if you are normal, it is definitely not easy having epilepsy. Please read the article so you may be aware of those around you.  It may save their life, maybe even your’s.

Life Can Be Complicated, But it Doesn’t Have to Be

Moving On In Life

Battles Uphill And Downhill In A Day, But Leveling Out At The End

All We Have Is Hope

We all should have hope, even when our days get dark as night all we have is hope. According to Dictionary.com Hope is defined as the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. I know not everything turns out the way we believe to be the best, but we do not know what road we are on in life until we take the first step. I takes hope to keep traveling down the road and not turning back.

What We Believe our Destination is and What God has Planned for Us

index-14
When you feel lost, He is there to give you guidance.

–Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I do not know about you but I have had some bumps in my life. I have taken wrong turns, ran into obstacles, and even stopped because I was not sure what to do. What I do know to do now is trust God.

Ever since I was a child I had a picture with this scripture on it. It has taken me a long time to understand what it means. If we have faith in Him we will always have hope.

When we are making plans in our life we need to make sure to let Him in on it. He will let us know if He approves our if He does not. I do not believe He is going show disapproval by having our parents, spouse, or siblings arguing with us on what we have planned to do. I do believe that our subconscious, that voice in our head, tells us, “It is not a good idea at least not right now.” then that is God speaking to us. We need to listen to God and take his advice or we will not live life to the fullest like He wants us to.

When in Darkness…

A Ray Of Hope Quotes How To Recognize And Protect Yourself From Manipulation | Darkness

When in darkness there is a ray of hope. Life does get pretty dark at times, sometimes so dark you think you will never find your way out. What you need to do is open your eyes and find the ray of hope deep in your soul. Trust me I have been there.

I am going tell you why. It was about five years ago I lost my job because I did not follow a procedure correctly. Now about six months before that I had a minor stroke and I lost some memory and had, and still do, some thinking of words issues. Well my former employer did not believe me about the memory issues, but I did win my unemployment. Even though it was a horrible job I was angry, depressed, in fear of not be able to pay my bills, and blamed myself for even applying for the job in the first place. To top it off my parents did not support me emotionally. It took me a couple months to start looking for a job. My mom told me I better start looking for a job the next day. I was angry for losing my job and now angry at her for lack of compassion. All I could see was darkness. I even thought the only way out was suicide. If I did not grow up in a Christian School and go to church I may not be typing this blog now. It took me awhile to stop being furious. I am still a little angry for getting fired but I think I take it too personal.

What got me through? It was Hope. I started going back to church. I went to the church that was the leader of the school I graduated from. I got back together with a few friends, my choir teacher, and my pastor and principal. I haven’t been for awhile because of work and overtime. I still watch Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah on Ion Television when I don’t go to church.  I use to feel I was going nowhere and now I feel I am moving forward. I do not know where I am going now but I will find out when I am ready. What I do have, that I did not have five years ago, is hope. Hope is all we need to move forward in life. If you ever feel you are down and never moving forward then trust God and that ray of hope will shine.

Gov. Wolf Wins Re-Election, Braddock’s Fetterman Joins Him As Lt. Governor — CBS Pittsburgh

Follow KDKA-TV: Facebook | Twitter HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Democrat Tom Wolf has won a second term as Pennsylvania governor, beating brash Republican challenger Scott Wagner. Wolf’s victory in Tuesday’s election sends him back to Harrisburg to share power with a Republican-controlled Legislature that fought him in two extended budget battles. Wolf has said he’ll…

Pennsylvania is not getting any better over the next four years. Tom Wolf has been re-elected as governor. Since he has been in office all he has done has been spend more money and raise taxes. Now there is talk he is going to raise sales tax and create new taxes. Soon enough we will no longer have an income. We will have to write a “IOU” to the Commonwealth because of Wolf. I think it is time to find a new state to call home. This state is going to go bankrupt and the Federal Government will have to bail us out.

We Need To Protect The Economy Of The Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania November 6th

Wolf’s budget includes raising the state’s sale tax from 6 percent to 6.6 percent and significantly reducing the number of items and services that would not be tax exempt.

This is a reason I do not like Governor Wolf. He does not think what raising taxes will do to our economy. He just thinks it will put more money in his pocket. Well he is wrong. He needs to cut taxes, cut unnecessary expenses, and lower cost overall. If he or whoever will be governor could put more money in our pocket that means we have more money to spend. That means going to the movies, going on a trip, buy new clothes, buying a new video game, what it means more money flowing in our economy. Even if a person took all the money extra they were saving and put it into an investment account like mutual fund or IRA that means there is more money invested in the economy. Whatever a person does with that money, rather than burying it in their backyard, would help the economy. Tom Wolf needs to open his eyes that he is killing our Commonwealth and needs replaced. Do not let him win this year.

Maybe our government is trying to get us to give up our freedom slowly so they can control us. It has seemed like we are getting closer and closer to Socialism,  social and economic doctrine that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources. Our government owns a lot now and there are so many people on welfare. I hope our country becomes great again like President Donald Trump said he would make it.

Patrick Stewart to Return as Star Trek‘s Jean-Luc Picard And The Internet Is Pretty Excited — TIME

I don’t know about you but I started watching Star Trek when I was a kid because my mom loved the original Star Trek. I liked the original Star Trek movies, but didn’t care for the shows. I really like Star Trek: The Next Generation  and loved their moves so much more. Captain Picard was a great character. He was a firm leader, kind man, gentleman, and even a romantic now and then. I can’t wait till it comes back. I wonder who else  may return.

The internet couldn’t be happier about the latest Star Trek news. In a thrilling announcement, Patrick Stewart, everyone’s favorite British actor, revealed that he would be returning to television in a new Star Trek series based on his iconic character Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The franchise series, which will run on CBS All Access, will focus…

Promoting voter ID, Trump claims ID needed to buy groceries

President Trump says we should need ID to vote like we need ID at a grocery store. It happens every time for me I get carded for writing a check and sometimes for using my debit card. When I go to a store and by beer they always card me because of the laws in Pennsylvania. I do not know about your state, but I think it is the way it should be done. I do not want illegitimate votes going through and getting a President that will hurt our country. I know if every state required photo ID to vote then it will help the corruption in our voting system. Do you agree with me? Tell me what you think. Please like and share.

The Road of Life Is Not Easy

It always seems like everyone else has better days than you do, right!? Well do not deny it because I have that attitude most of the time. The truth is we all have rough patches in our lives, but not the same as others. We also become blind to what others have issues with, especially if it does not come close to our problems by our standards. It may sound selfish, but I consider it more blinded by hard times.

The Harder Times Make the Hard Times a Little Softer

I could go on and on and tell you the story of my life, but I am not. I am going to tell you of two times it has been hard for me. One was about five years ago and the other is in the present.

The Past is the Past, but Also a Lesson for Later

When it goes wrong when we try to move forward in life, maybe it is a warning by God we need to stop and observe what we need. I am going a little further back than when it all came crumbling down. I want to explain why I was where I was.

Inspiration to Move Forward

It was about eight years ago, after I came out of a slump, I got a job at Long John Silver’s. I was looking for a job that I would enjoy and could be a permanent job.  About six years before that I was trained as a Team Leader at Burger King, promoted by my Assistant Manager, and really enjoyed it. It gave me a meaning in life. I enjoyed helping customers, running shifts, taking care of cash, and doing inventory. The main problem when working in fast food is the paycheck. So I decided to go for General Manager down the line. I was going to college at ITT Technical Institution for Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD). I was not doing well in my sixth quarter and it was the time I got promoted. My GM wanted more dedication. I had already considered dropping out for the quarter and this seemed to be a conformation. I dropped out and went full time. I was hoping to go back the next quarter but never did. I got into financial troubles and called my mother, then moved back to my parents. I was young and could not take chances. I should have handled my money better, handled my time better, and hung around better people. I look back and I have learned what to do and not to do. One thing I did learn is that friends are important. It is not about money, or fashion, or what kind of car they drive. A friend is about the time they give you, the sharing between both of you, and the advice you share. Kindness goes a long way.

Two Steps Back Three Steps Forward

When I came home I got a reference from a Store Manager at Weis I worked at before I went full time at Burger King. He requested a position in my area and a store did need what I had experience in. So they said they would take me, but wanted to interview me first. So the day after I got to my parents’ home I went in to Weis, the one in the bad part of town, and got my interview. The Store Manager liked me and officially rehired me on. He had me in both areas I worked in before which were the deli and cashier. He also got me trained in stocking shelves. I was there for a little over a year and then had a conflict with a black male customer who was accusing me of being racist and sexist because I waited on a white male before a black female. I was not out at the counter when the customers came up I was bring out more product to stock up the deli for in the mourning. When I got out and put things away I asked, “Who is next?’. the white male

There are stupid then there are stupider said, “I am ready.” So I took his order. Irony is the black female had no problems with it, probably did not even decide what she wanted; but the black male started a conflict and it escalated to the point he wanted to go outside and fight. I was reported to my Store Manager and I was terminated. I understood why, but was a little aggravated a jerk like that can get a person  fired for doing their job and in fear for their life. My Manager did say he was taking care of the customer and would not allow him back in the store. That did ease me some, but the damage was done. After that it was two years until I found my next job. This is the job that has messed me up and given me fear of losing the job I have now. I did learn something though, I will get to that. What I did learn from Weis is there are always idiots out there just don’t be one of them.

When One Door Opens Another Door Closes

It was two years until I found my next full-time job. I had on and off jobs like temp-jobs, paper routes, delivered phone books, and even helped people out. Almost six months before I lost my job I had gotten an apartment and made a best friend. We are still friends today and we both have had it rough. When I lost my job I was two months away from the end of my lease. So I had to talk to my landlord. I told her I had enough for the next month but won’t have enough for the following. Since I am going to have to move I asked her to keep the security deposit. She did and I was grateful. I did get on cash assistance to help with bills and food. I could not find a permanent job and  I was so depressed I was ready to give it all up. I figured it was time to meet my maker. Then one day I applied at Long John Silver’s. I did not apply there before that because I did not like fish. I included a cover letter and resume with my application. The reason was because they were looking for management at the time and that is what I wanted. I got a call within a month I submitted my application. The shift manager, which later became my shift manager trainer, interviewed me and she liked me. I got a second interview with the Restaurant Manager. I was nervous when I met him, but we clicked right away. I told him what I felt and wanted to do. I also told him I realize there are steps to get to being a manager and I am willing to take them. He knew I would do what I needed to do to be a great manager like he was. He wanted me, but since he was hiring me with the intent of promotion he had his boss the Regional Manager interview me. I had no fear. I went in with confidence. I got the job no problem. The Regional Manager was an inspiration as well. There were three managers I had that I learned a lot from. My Senior Shift Manager, who was the one who first interviewed me, was always happy. She taught me do not show your bad side when you are at work, especially the leader. My General Manager taught me you get more bees with honey than salt. He was always nice even when you got in trouble. He did not pull you outside and give you a lecture with a stern dictating voice, unlike the Assistant Manager. I had times when he raised his voice to me and talked a little more firm, but he was like getting lectured by a teacher not the principal. Then there was my Area Manager. He was good leader and always tried to stop by every few months and during Lent he stopped by every week. He humbled himself and stepped in and helped the crew, helped the customers, helped the managers. I had even seen him take out the trash and clean the bathroom before. I always wondered what makes you a good leader. Is it being firm and strong or is it by leading by example and humility? Well I learned from him humility is a great asset to being a great leader. It takes some firmness too. When we had manger meetings he attended he stood strong and spoke with a firm voice when he was teaching us. When he was answering questions or having a general conversation on topic he had a lighter voice. He was a good boss, good leader, and a good example to whom we all should follow. My General Manager was transferred to a new co-brand store of A&W/LJS. So the Assistant Manager was promoted before he left. I was also promoted a few months before he left to Shift Manager. I was trained primary to close and sometime do swing shifts, but not to open. My Shift Manager that trained me was leaving due to graduating college and getting a career started. Well my new General Manager set it up to get me fired. She approved the only two other shift managers time off. She had to schedule me for open the restaurant and She came in closing due to end of the month inventory. The only time I ever open is on a Sunday and did not have to run the deposit. Well this was a weekday and I forgot the deposit, did my inventory for the morning which I did have to do, and did not send employees on break at the right time. I was appropriately trained. I only worked one weekday for training on opening. My purpose was closing. The time off should have not been approved. I got demoted and I lost my desire to be a leader anymore. I had to leave. When I did find my next job I left without giving notice, but I did leave a long note and sent an email to the Area Manager. A couple years later I went by and saw that “she” was not there at the time so I went in to get some chicken and lobster bites. I asked where she was and I heard she got fired. I wonder if my email had something to do with it. Did her boss keep an eye on her, did customers complain, or did more employees complain. Whatever reason he fired her was he best choice.  I did learn from Long John Silver’s that I could be more than just a cashier. I also learned there is more in a leader than just telling people what to do, you need to show them. Lead by example. Teamwork is what makes us successful without teamwork then the team will break away. We all make mistakes we need to learn and move on. Also there are times when our road comes to and end, but there is always a choice on where to go. Choices we make make an impact on what we have later down the road. So make the right one the first time because they are all one way. We don’t have a remote control like on Click where you can rewind and fast forward life. You have to deal with the choices you make so make the right one, the first time.

A Leap of Faith

I found my new job from my best friend‘s father. He worked in factory that made medical stoppers and he worked twelve hour shifts. He got overtime almost every week. The way the schedule went we only worked 180 days. We got a week of for the Fourth of July and Christmas due to cleaning the clean rooms. It was not a horrible job, but the big shots did  not care about their employees. We would have an extreme amount of work, but never have help because the overtime would not be approved, they would not hire an additional person to keep product moving, they expected 200% out of everyone, and when the slackers did not do what was expected then the supervisor would be blamed. The last one I really did not like. It is immoral, unethical to blame a supervisor for how an employee acts. If the employee will not do their job then the supervisor needs to make aware they need to improve, then verbal warning, then written warning and eventually termination. If the supervisor does all this they are doing their job. I had a manager get fired for doing his job. He supposedly should have sent someone home not just wrote them up. I lost all desire of becoming a supervisor after that. The job I had was weighing up medical stoppers and packing them off. There was two of us and two rooms. There were nights that one of us was in one room and the other in the other room. We did weigh up and pack off for ourselves. We could have had an extra person too. On dayshift they did have a third person. When dayshift came in they would complain when we still had boxes left on the belt. I guess teamwork is overrated there. While I was there I graduated college online and started a business. My business did not get off the ground before I got fired for forgetting to follow an everyday procedure. The reason I forgot the procedure is because a few months prior I had something similar to a stroke, but did not show the signs after of a stroke. What it did cause was short term memory issues. I had fear of forgetting something. I did go back and got re-trained on dayshift. Then after I went back to nights I forgot to follow procedure like I did every night. When they called me in on my day off I knew something was up. They showed me the video and I could not believe it. I told them I did not remember that. I explained I was still having some memory issues and evidently forgot.  They did not believe me and fired me. I was so angry it took all I had morally, ethically, and spiritually to hold back from taking a swing. When I went home and told my mother all she could say is “How can you pay your bills?”. During the time of my unemployment I was so depressed the thought of suicide but did not act. I did not have any support until one day I decided to go back to church. I went to the church I knew. It was the church that ran the school I graduated from. I got support from a good friend, my pastor, and others in the church. It gave me a ray of hope. I went back out looking for work. I got a temp job that was temp to hire. I liked the job, learning a lot. It seemed like I would never be hired. My supervisor at that time wanted me hired on so she went to whomever she had to. Within a week she got me hired. My paycheck went up and I got seventeen days of vacation just like that. Today I am still there and I like the job, but am concerned it will not last much longer.

Renewed and Reborn: Out of the Ashes Rises the Mighty Phoenix

Reborn and Rise

Now today I have a job that I like. I want to stay but am unsure. I learned from previous jobs and life events trust is earned not given. I have been really tight on money and am concerned about working too much. I do not want to have another stroke and maybe die from it or forget something and lose my job again. I need to plan ahead and set several options on how to survive. It is like on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when he says, “Life is like a box of chocolate you never know what you are going to get.”. Well I think he is right but sometimes it seems more like grenades not chocolate. Life is not easy and I do not think it will get easier. We just need to accept what we have at the time, be grateful for what is good, and be mindful of how to prevent and fix the bad things.

God’s Advice That Should Be Followed Throughout All Life: “Be Kind One To Another”

God Works in Mysterious Ways

Any Man Can Be A Father, But Only A True Father Can Be A Dad

I am glad so many people have a dad they are spending Father’s Day with this weekend. In my circumstances things do not go that way. I did have a father growing up, but he was not my dad. I am going to share some things that have been holding me back for decades with you. I hope this helps you in your life or you child’s life. I have not had the best life, but I hope someone else will have a better one.

Childhood can be Difficult

When I look back on my life I see mistakes I made or my parents made. I wish I could go back and change the past, but that is not possible. There are times I wonder if it should have had happened if choices my parents made were better. What we do does not only have an effect on us, but has an effect on others. It is like dropping a pebble in a lake causing the ripple effect.
Ripple effectOne ripple causes another and then another as they get bigger. It depends on how we are taught if they are good ripples are bad ripples.

Early in my childhood

When I was seven my parents got divorced. I do not remember much before that but I do remember that day. The day when my mom came to my room at night and told me we had to go. I don’t remember exactly what happened but I do remember leaving. I still have a picture in my head what the house looked like and where we lived then. I also remember my mother, my sister, and I visiting my step-dad before we left my father. I have thought for years they planned it out and come to find out a few years ago they did.  I didn’t learn anything about my father until I was in my mid 20s. I have felt since my teen years that my mom was keeping me away from him.

When I was going to public school I didn’t fit in. I always got picked on, harassed, and threatened. I talked to my mom and step-dad about getting into sports like baseball. They would say, “You can’t do that.” or “I don’t know how to get you signed up.”. Well when I was going to public school it would be easy to call someone at the school to find out when and where. My mom would be concerned about me doing things like sports because I am an epileptic. When I was a child there were some real bad times because medicine wasn’t as good then as it is now. Although as I grew up the seizures did get worse and the medicine changed and dosage went up. In 2012 I had surgery to my right temporal lobe and had part of it removed. To say the least I was brain dead. Since then I have not had a seizure or pre-seizure aura.  I still take meds, but a lot less, and last year I had supposedly a stroke, but it was diagnosed as not a seizure. Although I have had epilepsy since I was 10 months old and that has made my mom very protective of me. I have always had the desire to become someone great. I do feel held back. Somethings I could never do, but others like sports I could do it just takes a little effort.

I would tell my step-dad that I wanted to do sports. I asked him to play catch, or throw a ball for me, or play kickball, something to do outside with him. He never wanted to play with me. When I asked him to go bowling he sometimes said yes. The reason being he was into bowling, even on a league, but I wasn’t that much into it. Whenever I did something he didn’t care for he didn’t want anything to do with me, but if I would do something he liked and not invite him he would be offended. I couldn’t make everything work for him. I never really got to know him until I went to college. It is interesting I learned more about him when I moved out than when I lived there.

Growing up is hard to do

My mother was the one who was there for me as I was growing up. When I was in the fifth grade I was getting threats. She was told of a private Christian school from a co-worker of her’s. His wife was a teacher and recommended that my mom send me there. My mom informed me of the school and I said, “Let’s do it!”.

I liked the school I went to. I went skiing in the winter, bowling and swimming in the summer. One thing I learned looking back on it is that a bad apple spoils the bunch. It started out good until one jerk made me into the outcast. I do not really fully regret it, wish it could have been better, because I did make a few good friends. They are ones that taught me what friendship is about. I have learned that loyalty is important and that sacrifice is true friendship like being a brother.

At this time in my life I was around 16 and not getting any respect at home. No matter what I did for them it was not enough for my parents. Don’t get me wrong they said thank-you, but that isn’t always enough. I grew up being responsible to earn respect from my parents and get a little trust. That did not happen then and it still hasn’t happened in the last 20 years since then. When I was still a teenager I accepted it because I was still a kid, under their roof, and had no knowledge of what the world was truly like.  Unfortunately I did move out to go to college, didn’t graduate, for four years. I returned to their home to find a job in my home town and get my own place. I thought they would treat me as an adult, I was wrong. I think this is where I started a downward spiral into depression because I was stuck with them off and on for 14 years of my adult life. I had to lie about drinking because my step-dad did not approve of it rather it was at home or at a bar, even though his son, my step-brother, drinks beer everyday when he gets home from work.

Being An Adult Is Not A Piece Of Cake

When I was young I always thought that parents had it easy. Oh boy was I ever wrong. Life is never simple. Everyday there is something a little complex. It can be getting to appointments, paying bills, going to work when you feel like crap, or just making to the next day. Today there is so many bills it seems unreal. It seems every week we get paid it either goes to bills, food, or the kids. Life can be complicated.

My mom called me Friday while I was on lunch break. That is one thing I don’t like because we only get 20 minutes and she doesn’t know how to talk quick. She asked if I was coming over on Father’s Day. I told her, “I don’t know. Depends how I fell after working this weekend.”. Well I just lied again because I didn’t have to work this weekend and I was probably not going in. I did not want to get into a argument at work. I have been teller her for at least a decade that I did not see him as my dad. That he never had a father son relationship with me, he never gave anything up for me and letting me know, he never told me he loved me unless he had to, and he stood in my way to have an relationship with my birth father. She denied a lot of it, but she can’t deny want she doesn’t understand. I really tried to make us a family because family is really important, but family isn’t always those under one roof. Family is those who stick together through thick or thin, those who will give up an hour of television just to make you happy, or those who will never criticize you for something you really like and they really dislike just because they want to be right.  I wish we could go back in time and change the mistakes we made in the pass to make the present or future we want. That will never happen.

It is Hard to Trust Again When You Have Been Blind Your Whole Life

I want to tell you about trust. I was watching a sermon this morning and it had to deal with trust between man and God. I do not want to go into everything the sermon talked about, but the main part of the sermon that got my attention was we have to trust God because He knows what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. We all have financial issues but we have to trust God to get us through it. The pastor also talked about forgiving and trusting those who have betrayed you in the past again. I know that is hard because I have the problem of trust with my mother and step-father. I thought they raised me good when I was in my teens and early 20s. Today looking back there is many mistakes they made. I know we cannot fix the past, but I hope sharing this helps you with the future.

The Big Mistake

I am going to start out with the biggest mistake in my opinion. My parents were divorced when I was 7 years old. I saw my father for maybe a year or two after the divorce and then it  stopped. My sister had anger towards him for a reason I do not know. I told my mother a few times in my teen years that I would run away to my dad’s. I never did, I did not know where he was. Back in those days we did not have smartphones with Google Maps. I felt lost as a child and neglected.

FFiII

When I hit the teen years I got into playing video games and I left public school, due to the harassment I received, and went to Christian School. I started enjoying some of the things I had. I love playing Final Fantasy III  and going skiing. I liked riding my bike down to a creek near the house. I miss childhood cause the less responsibilities, I am sure everyone feels the same. I also learned that helping others brings joy to your heart. I always went outside and mowed the lawn, raked leaves, and even shoveled snow without complaining.  My step-father liked that I would help out. Then he started to change.

When I was in high school and on the basketball team I didn’t always have time to do all the chores when he, my step-father, wanted them done. He would do them before I got home. I would go straight to doing the chores and my mom would tell me they were done. At first I was happy he was helping, but then he started saying things that were offensive as a joke. He would say, “Well you are to lazy to get them done.” or “Since you are always late I have to do it.”. Now the second was true to a point of view. Although if you have a scheduled practice at 4pm and done at 5pm and then get home by 5:30pm then you are not late, you’re late if you get home after that time like at 9pm.

After all this he started to get more ignorant and I started to like him less. I started think of my birth father. I wanted to see if he loved me. One day he took the step and called. I had just lost a job and had plenty of time. I was so happy and he came and picked me up since I didn’t have money. When I got the unemployment I started going. I was living with my mom and step-father at the time. I was wondering if there were going to be any conflicts. I kinda stopped seeing my dad when I got a job that was 12 hour shifts on nights. I also was going to college online and wanted to start a business. The only thing I thought about for those four years was work, college, and business. I worked paying bills into where I could. When college and work were on holiday shutdown I focused on business. Never had a minute in my day. It brought a lot of stress and my stubborness out. I told myself I should give up the business, but I did not until I got fired. Sometimes God tells us what to do and other times He makes it happen. The six months I was unemployed I should have called my father and got our relationship going again, but I was afraid that my mom and step-father would get angry. I did not need that at that time. It has been at least 8 years since I have seen my dad, it has not been 17 years like before I need to fix this before it happens again and it is my fault.

Having Someone to Talk to with Confidence

I believe we all have a family person or friend that we can tell anything to. What if the person you talk to tells another? It then becomes gossip. The first thing we should do is tell them we trust them and not to tell anyone else. It is a responsibility and they may not want it. I use to have that but then what I said was told to another person.

I know it is not easy to hear a person’s problems but we need to get our burdens off our chest to reduce stress. If not then there could be heart attacks, anger, criminal acts, or betrayal. I know when people identify common problems with me it makes me feel better because I am not the only one like this. I have had people talk to me about hard times in life. I listen and identify with them. Sometimes I can even give them some good advice or a suggestion how to deal with it from experience. We need not to be selfish we need to be selfless.

Doing Things You Don’t Like Because You Love Your Family and Friends

We all like some similar things and some entirely different things especially in mixed families. My step-father like bowling and so did I so sometimes we would go bowling together. One thing I really like was playing video games. My step-dad was way before the era of video games he is from the time TV first came out. I wanted him to play Mario Brothers with me when I first got it and he said he couldn’t do it. I wanted to teach him but he wouldn’t even try. It hurt that he wouldn’t be able to share an interest with me. When I was playing basketball I wanted him to come out and help me make shots. All I wanted was for him is to get rebounds at the net and to watch me and give me tips because he played in his childhood, never happened. I also liked watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when I got home from school. He got home about 15 minutes after the show started and took the remote. I started hiding the remote and not doing the chores so he would take it out. All I needed was 15 more minutes and he didn’t want to give me that so I had to be disobedient. Today we can record anything at anytime and watch it in another room and watch another channel as it is recording. Even though with technology being so much more advanced than 20 years ago I would still let my child watch a show as long as they were doing good in school, not being disobedient, and follow the schedule I set. I would always compromise if there was a show, a sports event, or maybe a friend calling from overseas. If you do something the same way all the time then you think you are always right. Sometimes we need to adjust what we do to make it better or to acknowledge we need a little change to beat repetition.

I didn’t always like taking care of the fire or bringing in wood during the winter. I got tired of it by early Spring but we still need to build one in the mourning and sometimes in the evening. I would take care of it not because it was my responsibility, but because I loved my parents. When I felt rejected from the family is when I stopped doing things like taking care of the fire and bring in wood. One thing I wanted to do for my step-father was get a cheap heat source installed and either help pay for it or pay it in full. Neither one would even look at the sources of heat that would be available to them. I eventually gave up. They want to build fires until they die then they can do it themselves is what I started to feel. I learned we just need to accept what others want. I guess the fire is good for him cause it does give him exercise. I just hope if they ever needed anything like new source of heat they would ask me.

We All Need Acceptance

It doesn’t matter who you are or what family you are in we all need acceptance in our life. The hard part is accepting parts of our life we do not want to happen, like the lost of a loved one.  I believe accepting the bad times like accepting the good times is the hardest challenge in life.

What Doesn’t Kill Us Makes Us Stronger

Al Sharpton Accuses Trump Of ‘Racism With Steroids’

According to the unreliable and deceptive media, Donald Trump referred to countries in Africa and Central America as “shitholes.” The President has denied it it, but liberals regard secondhand information from anonymous sources to be fact if it makes the President look bad. As such, there has been a full-blown leftist freak-out, which is actually a weekly occurrence during the Trump presidency. Race-hustler Al Sharpton, who has been rendered completely irrelevant by Trump, tried to get in on the spazz-attack by accusing the President of “racism with steroids.”

Just Because One Tells The Truth They Are Racist

I am so tired of this. They call him racist, well he may be a little. If he doesn’t want people who can’t even do math in our country and live in a sh**hole then I agree with him 100%. I am sorry I don’t want a person that lives in the sewer that hasn’t bathed for 10 years to come to my place. I don’t even want them within a mile of me. Guess I am a racist too. We need to think of Americans first. Not of these other third world countries that can’t stop screwing around. It will help put more food on the table.

Just so you ignorant, one sided people know when he spoke the truth of Africa he was not actually being racist. It is true that people in Africa die everyday of hunger. It happens in Haiti as well. I believe we should help them by giving money to charities to provide food, shelter, and education. Then maybe one day they will be strong, educated, and healthy enough to come to America and start a business, get a job, or go to college. Our country is trillions of dollars in debt. We cannot save the World, but we can help on person at a time starting with the person next to you. Then they can help the person next to them. Then one day all of us will help everyone across the World, I hope.

When I was a teenager I watched the show Quantum Leap. On the first episode Al had to explain to Sam what the Ripple Effect is. He also explained Sam’s String Theory. Well it affected me the rest of my life because it revealed to me just because I do not get an instant response from someone I help does not mean I did not influence them or someone else. I learned kindness is what we have to give to one another because if we give hate evil will win.

The Ripple Effect- Humanity Healing

The Ripple Effect is based on the understanding that we are all connected. These connections stretch like an incredibly interwoven and complicated tapestry. Each of us exists within this tapestry. Thoughts and actions are like stones dropped in a pond and they create ripples that travel outward.

Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives and their reactions in turn affect others. The choices you make have far-reaching consequences. Each of us carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. We can use the Principles of the Ripple Effect to magnify our actions and their effects.

The True Meaning of Christmas

I want to let today’s generation know what the true meaning of Christmas truly is. All we hear anymore is Santa Clause, Rudolf, and the Snowman. Well that is not where Christmas came from. I want you to enjoy Christmas for what it is truly meant for, plus Santa.

The Birth of Jesus Christ of Mary

maxresdefault1

Since the beginning of time God had intended to send His Son Jesus Christ as our Savior. There are many prophecies in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible about His coming. I am going to share a few with you first before I share the story of His birth.

Prophecy of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament

There are many in the Old Testament but I will share three of what I see is important for Christmas.

The Birth of the Messiah

Micah 5:2 – “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village in Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past.”

Well the main thing is Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Also prophesying that He would be of David descent.

The Messiah Will Be Born Of A Virgin

We know that it is impossible for a virgin birth to happen, unless it is a miracle. If this happened today I do not think I would believe it. It happened over 2000 years ago in Bethlehem.  It was prophesied way before it ever could be planned to take place.

Isaiah 7:14 – “All right then, the Lord Himself will choose the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call Him Immanuel – ‘God is with us.’”

Isaiah 9:6-7 – “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on His shoulders. These will be His royal titlesThat: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of His ancestor David. The passionate commitment of the Lord Almighty will guarantee this!”

He was crucified and rose again the third day for our sins. Today He reigns in Heaven beside His Father our Lord and will return in the end at the second coming, but that is a story for another day.

The Messiah To Die By Crucifixion, With Pierced Hands And Feet

crucifixion-3-crosses-58b5ceeb5f9b586046d09034

Jesus died from crucifixion. Believe it or not many people stayed alive for days in severe pain hanging on the cross back in that time. That is why it is a miracle in it’s self that He died on the cross.

Psalm 22:14-16 – “My life is poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax, melting within Me. My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of My mouth. You have laid Me in the dust and left Me for dead. My enemies surround Me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on Me. They have pierced My hands and feet.”

Zechariah 12:10a – “Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on all the people of Jerusalem. They will look on Me whom they have pierced and mourn for Him as for an only son.”

Still today God gives us His grace.

The Birth Of Jesus Christ in the New Testament

Jesus came to us as a baby. He came around the change from B.C. to A.D. It has been debated for a long time when He was born exactly, but one thing we do know He was not born on Christmas Day. He was born in either the Spring or Fall.

It was during the time of Caesar Augustus. Caesar  started taxes and everyone had to go to a town to pay. This is how God got Mary to Bethlehem to give birth to Jesus. He was also born in a manger because there was no room for them. He was born as the poorest of the poor and is the King of Kings. Here is the story of the Birth of Jesus Christ

Luke 2:1-20

Christ Born of Mary

And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.

Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife,a]”>[a] who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Glory in the Highest

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold,b]”>[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”c]”>[c]

15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widelyd]”>[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

Conclusion

heaven-john-3-16

You may find it hard to believe in an Omnipotent God and a Savior, but I have witnessed things in my life and my friends’ lives that will say otherwise. I have had friends that should have been dead but have survived, I know people that had nothing but survived because of prayer to God, and myself I may have taken my own life a few years ago if God did not stand by me. Life is hard I will agree with that, but God, Jesus Christ our Savior is there with us everyday. Santa Clause is not why we celebrate Christmas. The true meaning of Christmas is Jesus our Savior.  Believe in him and you will not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

7 Things Only Truecaller Users Understand

Parents Children Need To Learn From The Lesson Of Life

Sometimes Family Cannot Live Together Because They Will Never Agree

We all have family members that are the nice ones, the grumpy ones, the neat ones, and the little obsessive ones; but what if you are a positive one with the negative ones. This can cause problems through out life if no common ground is found. There is a time to agree and a time to disagree.

Showing Favoritism Among the Kids

Believe it or not, all parents have a favorite child. It happened in my family and I was not the favorite. It is like liking Pepsi over Coke or Coke over Pepsi. They are both colas, taste similar, but one is better than the other to everyone.

Dragon QuestIt is understanding that parents can favor on child over another, especially mothers favoring daughters and fathers favoring sons, although giving privileges to one and none to another makes them feel rejected. Sometimes you cannot treat your children exactly the same. These days there are a lot of children born with limitations or handicaps. Everyone has different interest as they grow up too. I know I liked playing outside when I was very young, but when I got to my teens I loved video games. The Nintendo came out and it made my mind work. I love Role Playing Games (RPG). My favorite from the NES was Dragon Warrior Series. My mother would always yell at me about always being on my Nintendo, which I was not, and not going outside. When I did go outside and play with my sister and her friend, which today is her husband, he would always end up being a jerk and have to be the dominating man. Today I realize I did not like that because I saw myself as the man of the house and he should be submissive to me. Even back then I developed in my mind if you cannot win just walk away.

Whenever there was chores to do I always got them. Chores like taking out the garbage, bringing in wood, mowing the lawn, and even cooking dinner I always did them and never got any benefits from it. My sister on the other hand did not have any chores she had responsibilities. She had like a dozen pets cats, dog, birds, fish, hermit crabs, lizards, rabbits and more. Whenever I complained that my sister did not have any chores that I did “everything” my mother always said, “Yes she does!”. I told her, “They are not chores they are responsibilities. If you think they are both the same I am going to give you the definitions.

Chore–   a small or odd job; routine task, the everyday work around a house or farm

Responsible involving accountability or responsibilityas in having the power to  control or manage:, reliable or dependable, as in meeting debts, conducting businessdealings, etc.

Now according to the definitions chores are not as significant as responsibility. Not that is insignificant to do your chores everyday they teach you discipline and commitment to get things done, but a responsibility, like having pets, is similar to having kids. You come home from work tired and worn out there are two things you need to do, wash the dishes and feed the kids, which on would you do? If you said feed the kids that is being responsible. Doing the dishes is an everyday chore that we all have. It can be put off till the next day if needed. Although a responsibility cannot be put off. Just like for kids and doing their homework. They need to learn when they are young what is more important, running the trash out for dad or study for that History test. It took me until high school to realize that education was far more important than chores. I have my Principal and Pastor from high school to thank for that. When I graduated and went to college I had to cram for prioritizing in life. It was hard with college, work, and home. I did not graduate from college back then. I went back to college in 2010 and graduated in 2012 from AIU. I wish I learned how to prioritize when I was a child.

Try to Treat Your Children Equal

Although there will be favoritism, parents can favor both children in different ways. Some kids need personal time and other kids like a lot of attention. There are also kids who want to go out with there friends after school. Parents could allow them to do this as long as after dinner they got on their homework and got it done. This is a compromise. If the child does not comply then it is their fault and have to learn they need to accept responsibility for their choices and actions. If they will not get their homework done then they need to get on it after school or maybe be able to go play for an hour. If the kid wants to cry about it they need to be explained to why their privilege is being limited or taken away. Even if they do not fully conceive it it may sink in eventually. If you do not work with them then they may go against you. They will learn to deceive you and get away with what they want to. I know this because I did it as a child. I got grounded and told not to play my video games. I figured out a way to put everything back the way it was and when my parents came home. Also my game systems were where the wood burner was so if they got home before I got off I always used the excuse I was taken care of the fire. They never found out to this day. I have gotten away with a lot as a child and got busted on a lot too. I just believe with everything there is a compromise. It is up to you as the parent to develop that. Always talk, listen, give-up, and give on both sides. I can go on and on. If you want any advice or have a question just comment below. I hope more families are getting along in harmony than families who cannot agree what to watch on TV.

The most important thing in the world is family and love.
