I want you to know I am updating my blog. I am open to suggestions and criticism. If you have any ideas to make it better my ears are wide open. I will probably work on it this weekend. Thanks for your help.
Sad To See Him Go
It is really sad to find out that “Duke” from Bush’s Baked beans has passed away and of cancer no less. He will be missed. I loved the commercials. My family has also lost a dog to cancer as well. RIP Sam you will be missed. Thanks for all the awesome commercials.

I am glad so many people have a dad they are spending Father’s Day with this weekend. In my circumstances things do not go that way. I did have a father growing up, but he was not my dad. I am going to share some things that have been holding me back for decades with you. I hope this helps you in your life or you child’s life. I have not had the best life, but I hope someone else will have a better one.
Childhood can be Difficult
When I look back on my life I see mistakes I made or my parents made. I wish I could go back and change the past, but that is not possible. There are times I wonder if it should have had happened if choices my parents made were better. What we do does not only have an effect on us, but has an effect on others. It is like dropping a pebble in a lake causing the ripple effect.
One ripple causes another and then another as they get bigger. It depends on how we are taught if they are good ripples are bad ripples.
Early in my childhood
When I was seven my parents got divorced. I do not remember much before that but I do remember that day. The day when my mom came to my room at night and told me we had to go. I don’t remember exactly what happened but I do remember leaving. I still have a picture in my head what the house looked like and where we lived then. I also remember my mother, my sister, and I visiting my step-dad before we left my father. I have thought for years they planned it out and come to find out a few years ago they did. I didn’t learn anything about my father until I was in my mid 20s. I have felt since my teen years that my mom was keeping me away from him.
When I was going to public school I didn’t fit in. I always got picked on, harassed, and threatened. I talked to my mom and step-dad about getting into sports like baseball. They would say, “You can’t do that.” or “I don’t know how to get you signed up.”. Well when I was going to public school it would be easy to call someone at the school to find out when and where. My mom would be concerned about me doing things like sports because I am an epileptic. When I was a child there were some real bad times because medicine wasn’t as good then as it is now. Although as I grew up the seizures did get worse and the medicine changed and dosage went up. In 2012 I had surgery to my right temporal lobe and had part of it removed. To say the least I was brain dead. Since then I have not had a seizure or pre-seizure aura. I still take meds, but a lot less, and last year I had supposedly a stroke, but it was diagnosed as not a seizure. Although I have had epilepsy since I was 10 months old and that has made my mom very protective of me. I have always had the desire to become someone great. I do feel held back. Somethings I could never do, but others like sports I could do it just takes a little effort.
I would tell my step-dad that I wanted to do sports. I asked him to play catch, or throw a ball for me, or play kickball, something to do outside with him. He never wanted to play with me. When I asked him to go bowling he sometimes said yes. The reason being he was into bowling, even on a league, but I wasn’t that much into it. Whenever I did something he didn’t care for he didn’t want anything to do with me, but if I would do something he liked and not invite him he would be offended. I couldn’t make everything work for him. I never really got to know him until I went to college. It is interesting I learned more about him when I moved out than when I lived there.
Growing up is hard to do
My mother was the one who was there for me as I was growing up. When I was in the fifth grade I was getting threats. She was told of a private Christian school from a co-worker of her’s. His wife was a teacher and recommended that my mom send me there. My mom informed me of the school and I said, “Let’s do it!”.
I liked the school I went to. I went skiing in the winter, bowling and swimming in the summer. One thing I learned looking back on it is that a bad apple spoils the bunch. It started out good until one jerk made me into the outcast. I do not really fully regret it, wish it could have been better, because I did make a few good friends. They are ones that taught me what friendship is about. I have learned that loyalty is important and that sacrifice is true friendship like being a brother.
At this time in my life I was around 16 and not getting any respect at home. No matter what I did for them it was not enough for my parents. Don’t get me wrong they said thank-you, but that isn’t always enough. I grew up being responsible to earn respect from my parents and get a little trust. That did not happen then and it still hasn’t happened in the last 20 years since then. When I was still a teenager I accepted it because I was still a kid, under their roof, and had no knowledge of what the world was truly like. Unfortunately I did move out to go to college, didn’t graduate, for four years. I returned to their home to find a job in my home town and get my own place. I thought they would treat me as an adult, I was wrong. I think this is where I started a downward spiral into depression because I was stuck with them off and on for 14 years of my adult life. I had to lie about drinking because my step-dad did not approve of it rather it was at home or at a bar, even though his son, my step-brother, drinks beer everyday when he gets home from work.
Being An Adult Is Not A Piece Of Cake
When I was young I always thought that parents had it easy. Oh boy was I ever wrong. Life is never simple. Everyday there is something a little complex. It can be getting to appointments, paying bills, going to work when you feel like crap, or just making to the next day. Today there is so many bills it seems unreal. It seems every week we get paid it either goes to bills, food, or the kids. Life can be complicated.
My mom called me Friday while I was on lunch break. That is one thing I don’t like because we only get 20 minutes and she doesn’t know how to talk quick. She asked if I was coming over on Father’s Day. I told her, “I don’t know. Depends how I fell after working this weekend.”. Well I just lied again because I didn’t have to work this weekend and I was probably not going in. I did not want to get into a argument at work. I have been teller her for at least a decade that I did not see him as my dad. That he never had a father son relationship with me, he never gave anything up for me and letting me know, he never told me he loved me unless he had to, and he stood in my way to have an relationship with my birth father. She denied a lot of it, but she can’t deny want she doesn’t understand. I really tried to make us a family because family is really important, but family isn’t always those under one roof. Family is those who stick together through thick or thin, those who will give up an hour of television just to make you happy, or those who will never criticize you for something you really like and they really dislike just because they want to be right. I wish we could go back in time and change the mistakes we made in the pass to make the present or future we want. That will never happen.

I want to tell you about trust. I was watching a sermon this morning and it had to deal with trust between man and God. I do not want to go into everything the sermon talked about, but the main part of the sermon that got my attention was we have to trust God because He knows what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. We all have financial issues but we have to trust God to get us through it. The pastor also talked about forgiving and trusting those who have betrayed you in the past again. I know that is hard because I have the problem of trust with my mother and step-father. I thought they raised me good when I was in my teens and early 20s. Today looking back there is many mistakes they made. I know we cannot fix the past, but I hope sharing this helps you with the future.
The Big Mistake
I am going to start out with the biggest mistake in my opinion. My parents were divorced when I was 7 years old. I saw my father for maybe a year or two after the divorce and then it stopped. My sister had anger towards him for a reason I do not know. I told my mother a few times in my teen years that I would run away to my dad’s. I never did, I did not know where he was. Back in those days we did not have smartphones with Google Maps. I felt lost as a child and neglected.
When I hit the teen years I got into playing video games and I left public school, due to the harassment I received, and went to Christian School. I started enjoying some of the things I had. I love playing Final Fantasy III and going skiing. I liked riding my bike down to a creek near the house. I miss childhood cause the less responsibilities, I am sure everyone feels the same. I also learned that helping others brings joy to your heart. I always went outside and mowed the lawn, raked leaves, and even shoveled snow without complaining. My step-father liked that I would help out. Then he started to change.
When I was in high school and on the basketball team I didn’t always have time to do all the chores when he, my step-father, wanted them done. He would do them before I got home. I would go straight to doing the chores and my mom would tell me they were done. At first I was happy he was helping, but then he started saying things that were offensive as a joke. He would say, “Well you are to lazy to get them done.” or “Since you are always late I have to do it.”. Now the second was true to a point of view. Although if you have a scheduled practice at 4pm and done at 5pm and then get home by 5:30pm then you are not late, you’re late if you get home after that time like at 9pm.
After all this he started to get more ignorant and I started to like him less. I started think of my birth father. I wanted to see if he loved me. One day he took the step and called. I had just lost a job and had plenty of time. I was so happy and he came and picked me up since I didn’t have money. When I got the unemployment I started going. I was living with my mom and step-father at the time. I was wondering if there were going to be any conflicts. I kinda stopped seeing my dad when I got a job that was 12 hour shifts on nights. I also was going to college online and wanted to start a business. The only thing I thought about for those four years was work, college, and business. I worked paying bills into where I could. When college and work were on holiday shutdown I focused on business. Never had a minute in my day. It brought a lot of stress and my stubborness out. I told myself I should give up the business, but I did not until I got fired. Sometimes God tells us what to do and other times He makes it happen. The six months I was unemployed I should have called my father and got our relationship going again, but I was afraid that my mom and step-father would get angry. I did not need that at that time. It has been at least 8 years since I have seen my dad, it has not been 17 years like before I need to fix this before it happens again and it is my fault.
Having Someone to Talk to with Confidence
I believe we all have a family person or friend that we can tell anything to. What if the person you talk to tells another? It then becomes gossip. The first thing we should do is tell them we trust them and not to tell anyone else. It is a responsibility and they may not want it. I use to have that but then what I said was told to another person.
I know it is not easy to hear a person’s problems but we need to get our burdens off our chest to reduce stress. If not then there could be heart attacks, anger, criminal acts, or betrayal. I know when people identify common problems with me it makes me feel better because I am not the only one like this. I have had people talk to me about hard times in life. I listen and identify with them. Sometimes I can even give them some good advice or a suggestion how to deal with it from experience. We need not to be selfish we need to be selfless.
Doing Things You Don’t Like Because You Love Your Family and Friends
We all like some similar things and some entirely different things especially in mixed families. My step-father like bowling and so did I so sometimes we would go bowling together. One thing I really like was playing video games. My step-dad was way before the era of video games he is from the time TV first came out. I wanted him to play Mario Brothers with me when I first got it and he said he couldn’t do it. I wanted to teach him but he wouldn’t even try. It hurt that he wouldn’t be able to share an interest with me. When I was playing basketball I wanted him to come out and help me make shots. All I wanted was for him is to get rebounds at the net and to watch me and give me tips because he played in his childhood, never happened. I also liked watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when I got home from school. He got home about 15 minutes after the show started and took the remote. I started hiding the remote and not doing the chores so he would take it out. All I needed was 15 more minutes and he didn’t want to give me that so I had to be disobedient. Today we can record anything at anytime and watch it in another room and watch another channel as it is recording. Even though with technology being so much more advanced than 20 years ago I would still let my child watch a show as long as they were doing good in school, not being disobedient, and follow the schedule I set. I would always compromise if there was a show, a sports event, or maybe a friend calling from overseas. If you do something the same way all the time then you think you are always right. Sometimes we need to adjust what we do to make it better or to acknowledge we need a little change to beat repetition.
I didn’t always like taking care of the fire or bringing in wood during the winter. I got tired of it by early Spring but we still need to build one in the mourning and sometimes in the evening. I would take care of it not because it was my responsibility, but because I loved my parents. When I felt rejected from the family is when I stopped doing things like taking care of the fire and bring in wood. One thing I wanted to do for my step-father was get a cheap heat source installed and either help pay for it or pay it in full. Neither one would even look at the sources of heat that would be available to them. I eventually gave up. They want to build fires until they die then they can do it themselves is what I started to feel. I learned we just need to accept what others want. I guess the fire is good for him cause it does give him exercise. I just hope if they ever needed anything like new source of heat they would ask me.
We All Need Acceptance
It doesn’t matter who you are or what family you are in we all need acceptance in our life. The hard part is accepting parts of our life we do not want to happen, like the lost of a loved one. I believe accepting the bad times like accepting the good times is the hardest challenge in life.

According to the unreliable and deceptive media, Donald Trump referred to countries in Africa and Central America as “shitholes.” The President has denied it it, but liberals regard secondhand information from anonymous sources to be fact if it makes the President look bad. As such, there has been a full-blown leftist freak-out, which is actually a weekly occurrence during the Trump presidency. Race-hustler Al Sharpton, who has been rendered completely irrelevant by Trump, tried to get in on the spazz-attack by accusing the President of “racism with steroids.”
Just Because One Tells The Truth They Are Racist
I am so tired of this. They call him racist, well he may be a little. If he doesn’t want people who can’t even do math in our country and live in a sh**hole then I agree with him 100%. I am sorry I don’t want a person that lives in the sewer that hasn’t bathed for 10 years to come to my place. I don’t even want them within a mile of me. Guess I am a racist too. We need to think of Americans first. Not of these other third world countries that can’t stop screwing around. It will help put more food on the table.
Just so you ignorant, one sided people know when he spoke the truth of Africa he was not actually being racist. It is true that people in Africa die everyday of hunger. It happens in Haiti as well. I believe we should help them by giving money to charities to provide food, shelter, and education. Then maybe one day they will be strong, educated, and healthy enough to come to America and start a business, get a job, or go to college. Our country is trillions of dollars in debt. We cannot save the World, but we can help on person at a time starting with the person next to you. Then they can help the person next to them. Then one day all of us will help everyone across the World, I hope.
When I was a teenager I watched the show Quantum Leap. On the first episode Al had to explain to Sam what the Ripple Effect is. He also explained Sam’s String Theory. Well it affected me the rest of my life because it revealed to me just because I do not get an instant response from someone I help does not mean I did not influence them or someone else. I learned kindness is what we have to give to one another because if we give hate evil will win.
The Ripple Effect is based on the understanding that we are all connected. These connections stretch like an incredibly interwoven and complicated tapestry. Each of us exists within this tapestry. Thoughts and actions are like stones dropped in a pond and they create ripples that travel outward.
Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives and their reactions in turn affect others. The choices you make have far-reaching consequences. Each of us carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. We can use the Principles of the Ripple Effect to magnify our actions and their effects.

I want to let today’s generation know what the true meaning of Christmas truly is. All we hear anymore is Santa Clause, Rudolf, and the Snowman. Well that is not where Christmas came from. I want you to enjoy Christmas for what it is truly meant for, plus Santa.
The Birth of Jesus Christ of Mary
Since the beginning of time God had intended to send His Son Jesus Christ as our Savior. There are many prophecies in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible about His coming. I am going to share a few with you first before I share the story of His birth.
Prophecy of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament
There are many in the Old Testament but I will share three of what I see is important for Christmas.
The Birth of the Messiah
Micah 5:2 – “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village in Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past.”
Well the main thing is Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Also prophesying that He would be of David descent.
The Messiah Will Be Born Of A Virgin
We know that it is impossible for a virgin birth to happen, unless it is a miracle. If this happened today I do not think I would believe it. It happened over 2000 years ago in Bethlehem. It was prophesied way before it ever could be planned to take place.
Isaiah 7:14 – “All right then, the Lord Himself will choose the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call Him Immanuel – ‘God is with us.’”
Isaiah 9:6-7 – “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on His shoulders. These will be His royal titlesThat: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of His ancestor David. The passionate commitment of the Lord Almighty will guarantee this!”
He was crucified and rose again the third day for our sins. Today He reigns in Heaven beside His Father our Lord and will return in the end at the second coming, but that is a story for another day.
The Messiah To Die By Crucifixion, With Pierced Hands And Feet
Jesus died from crucifixion. Believe it or not many people stayed alive for days in severe pain hanging on the cross back in that time. That is why it is a miracle in it’s self that He died on the cross.
Psalm 22:14-16 – “My life is poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax, melting within Me. My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of My mouth. You have laid Me in the dust and left Me for dead. My enemies surround Me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on Me. They have pierced My hands and feet.”
Zechariah 12:10a – “Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on all the people of Jerusalem. They will look on Me whom they have pierced and mourn for Him as for an only son.”
Still today God gives us His grace.
The Birth Of Jesus Christ in the New Testament
Jesus came to us as a baby. He came around the change from B.C. to A.D. It has been debated for a long time when He was born exactly, but one thing we do know He was not born on Christmas Day. He was born in either the Spring or Fall.
It was during the time of Caesar Augustus. Caesar started taxes and everyone had to go to a town to pay. This is how God got Mary to Bethlehem to give birth to Jesus. He was also born in a manger because there was no room for them. He was born as the poorest of the poor and is the King of Kings. Here is the story of the Birth of Jesus Christ
Christ Born of Mary
2 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife,a]”>[a] who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Glory in the Highest
8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold,b]”>[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”c]”>[c]
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widelyd]”>[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
You may find it hard to believe in an Omnipotent God and a Savior, but I have witnessed things in my life and my friends’ lives that will say otherwise. I have had friends that should have been dead but have survived, I know people that had nothing but survived because of prayer to God, and myself I may have taken my own life a few years ago if God did not stand by me. Life is hard I will agree with that, but God, Jesus Christ our Savior is there with us everyday. Santa Clause is not why we celebrate Christmas. The true meaning of Christmas is Jesus our Savior. Believe in him and you will not perish but have everlasting life.
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

We all have family members that are the nice ones, the grumpy ones, the neat ones, and the little obsessive ones; but what if you are a positive one with the negative ones. This can cause problems through out life if no common ground is found. There is a time to agree and a time to disagree.
Showing Favoritism Among the Kids
Believe it or not, all parents have a favorite child. It happened in my family and I was not the favorite. It is like liking Pepsi over Coke or Coke over Pepsi. They are both colas, taste similar, but one is better than the other to everyone.
It is understanding that parents can favor on child over another, especially mothers favoring daughters and fathers favoring sons, although giving privileges to one and none to another makes them feel rejected. Sometimes you cannot treat your children exactly the same. These days there are a lot of children born with limitations or handicaps. Everyone has different interest as they grow up too. I know I liked playing outside when I was very young, but when I got to my teens I loved video games. The Nintendo came out and it made my mind work. I love Role Playing Games (RPG). My favorite from the NES was Dragon Warrior Series. My mother would always yell at me about always being on my Nintendo, which I was not, and not going outside. When I did go outside and play with my sister and her friend, which today is her husband, he would always end up being a jerk and have to be the dominating man. Today I realize I did not like that because I saw myself as the man of the house and he should be submissive to me. Even back then I developed in my mind if you cannot win just walk away.
Whenever there was chores to do I always got them. Chores like taking out the garbage, bringing in wood, mowing the lawn, and even cooking dinner I always did them and never got any benefits from it. My sister on the other hand did not have any chores she had responsibilities. She had like a dozen pets cats, dog, birds, fish, hermit crabs, lizards, rabbits and more. Whenever I complained that my sister did not have any chores that I did “everything” my mother always said, “Yes she does!”. I told her, “They are not chores they are responsibilities. If you think they are both the same I am going to give you the definitions.
Now according to the definitions chores are not as significant as responsibility. Not that is insignificant to do your chores everyday they teach you discipline and commitment to get things done, but a responsibility, like having pets, is similar to having kids. You come home from work tired and worn out there are two things you need to do, wash the dishes and feed the kids, which on would you do? If you said feed the kids that is being responsible. Doing the dishes is an everyday chore that we all have. It can be put off till the next day if needed. Although a responsibility cannot be put off. Just like for kids and doing their homework. They need to learn when they are young what is more important, running the trash out for dad or study for that History test. It took me until high school to realize that education was far more important than chores. I have my Principal and Pastor from high school to thank for that. When I graduated and went to college I had to cram for prioritizing in life. It was hard with college, work, and home. I did not graduate from college back then. I went back to college in 2010 and graduated in 2012 from AIU. I wish I learned how to prioritize when I was a child.
Try to Treat Your Children Equal
Although there will be favoritism, parents can favor both children in different ways. Some kids need personal time and other kids like a lot of attention. There are also kids who want to go out with there friends after school. Parents could allow them to do this as long as after dinner they got on their homework and got it done. This is a compromise. If the child does not comply then it is their fault and have to learn they need to accept responsibility for their choices and actions. If they will not get their homework done then they need to get on it after school or maybe be able to go play for an hour. If the kid wants to cry about it they need to be explained to why their privilege is being limited or taken away. Even if they do not fully conceive it it may sink in eventually. If you do not work with them then they may go against you. They will learn to deceive you and get away with what they want to. I know this because I did it as a child. I got grounded and told not to play my video games. I figured out a way to put everything back the way it was and when my parents came home. Also my game systems were where the wood burner was so if they got home before I got off I always used the excuse I was taken care of the fire. They never found out to this day. I have gotten away with a lot as a child and got busted on a lot too. I just believe with everything there is a compromise. It is up to you as the parent to develop that. Always talk, listen, give-up, and give on both sides. I can go on and on. If you want any advice or have a question just comment below. I hope more families are getting along in harmony than families who cannot agree what to watch on TV.
The most important thing in the world is family and love.

Now this is what I call complicated. President Trump gave James Comey praise not too long ago. Now with the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal he has become unreliable and even deceiving. So now President Trump fried him today. I think it is a little ironic too.
President Trump abruptly announced Tuesday evening that he was firing FBI Director James Comey over his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation — an investigation Trump repeatedly praised. “I cannot defend the Director’s handling of the conclusion of the investigation of Secretary Clinton’s emails, and I do not understand his refusal to accept the…

I have watched Bill O’Reilly many times over the last 20 years. I have actually liked him, but not with sexual harassment charges on him I do not care for him. It also looks like Fox does not want him anymore. Today Fox News forced Bill O’Reilly out. Also many sponsors have withdrawn their funds. Seems like Bill is going down a rough road. Well we all have to suffer the consequences from our mistakes.

Are you the prophet of self-doom? Or do you let it slide and carry on regardless? Charles R. Swindoll said, “Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” If we focus on a negative outcome in something in a negative fashion, you will subconsciously be asking for more […]
Their is a lot of negativity in life. Trust me I know it. I read this and need to pass it on. We all need to remain positive, because without positive attitude everything will start to dwindle.
When we get negative things tend to go wrong even more. That is because our mind believes nothing good will happen. We have less motivation on daily task. I will give an example… When I am in a positive mood I tend to come home and do a little cleaning, cook dinner, and even pay bills when needed. Although when I have a bad day and in a negative mood all I do is sit in front of the TV, get on Facebook, and have a easy dinner. You may be wondering how this applies to you? Well think what you do after a good day and a bad day. We are all different some drink, some listen to heavy rock, some just need alone time. Whatever you do on a bad day can get a lot worse if you get trickling down into depression. I have learned from my life challenges that we need to stay positive, especially how we talk around other people. A challenge for you and everyone is to eliminate all negative words and thoughts. The more positive you are the more positive the people around you will be.

I have been living with my parents for too long. It use to be nice. They would listen to my opinion, let me help them, and even let me live a private life; but that has all changed in the last six years. I feel like a mother does when her child grows up and leaves the nest. I feel like I am not needed or wanted anymore. I do not believe that is a fact though. They do need help but I need my independence and freedom. Maybe when I leave they will know I am not always there to help, maybe they would call one day and ask.
I wrote this letter below this year to express how I felt. I wanted to share this because everyone needs to realize the way you act influences others around you. When you are an inspiration in a person’s life, rather a parent, a manager, or a best friend, you can really hurt them when you turn negative towards them. When you have problems that are really hard on you talk to your friends, family, church, or therapist. It does really help. Be aware of how you speak. We need to see the positive side of the day. For example today it is cloudy and raining with a chance of freezing rain. This is a fact so do not look down on it like you cannot go out and do yard work. You may wounder why I say this? I say this because my neighbor chopped down a dying tree between our property line. He is out there right now, in the cold and rain, sawing the tree, now that is being optimistic. If you think you cannot do anything because it is cold and raining then you are a pessimistic. If you believe you need a jacket and maybe an umbrella to go outside then you are a realist. It is better to be a realist that leans to optimism because you need a good balance between being positive and reality. Six years ago I use to have that good balance now I am mostly a realist. I want to go back to being the way I was. Read the letter and let me know what your opinion is.
You are wondering why I refuse to speak to you and I am avoiding you. The reason is to avoid conflict and negativism. I am always argued with a fact or statement I say. I could say, “The sky is blue.” You would argue, “It is cloudy out.” Negativism is a negative or pessimistic attitude. A tendency to resist external commands, suggestions, or expectations, or internal stimuli, as hunger, by doing nothing or something contrary or unrelated to the stimulus. (Random House, Inc, 2015) This causes conflicts and it hurts me emotionally and mentally. This is just a minor thing, because I have come to a conclusion in my teen years that someone will always want to argue with another person. I did not expect it would be you arguing with me stating a fact.
The main reason I decided never to be with you again is because I am not wanted with your family. I do not have a family in this house, I have no home. I have thought when I was in Harrisburg that I would be alone for a long time. I did not think it was forever and you and Gene would abandon me. I have nights I cry myself to sleep because I am all alone. I then remember the family I have, that are not blood, but are truly family. I have a brother, a little sister, a mom and dad, a quarky old guy, and a sister going to college. They feel like family. We have different opinions. We voice are opinions, but we do not yell at one another because we are different. We joke around and if one gets offend by a joke we apologize and never joke about it again. We do not require explanation of everything in our lives. We have our privacy and we respect each other by not intruding into another’s privacy. This is not special it is common in a family relationship it is known as respect. Respect is to refrain from intruding upon or interfering with. (Random House, Inc, 2015)
What you need to know is… I would never refuse to watch a show if I just did not like it. I have done that every day. Common sense says if a person watches something he doesn’t like and refuses to watch a particular show that person must have an issue with that show. The answer to the question you probably have, yes I have a mental issue with Heartland. I have had nightmares just seeing the credits play and I left the room. If you wonder why, well join the club. I will never understand why Heartland is more important than I am. You made your choice and now you will have to live with it. One day I will be out of this state and never let you know where I am. That will be the day I will have the first day of peace in my life.

We all believe true love is with the one we will fall in love with for the rest of our lives. I do not believe that is the truth. I believe true love is much more simple to find, I believe most of us have found it since the day we were born. Love is not something that grows inside us because we came from love. God created this World with love and created Man and Woman with love. We should always love one another.
” Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
A Child Loves Their Parent
When a child is born it shows love for the mother and father. It does not start there though. It begins in the mother’s womb. The child is one with the mother and grows very close to the father. If the father is not around rather if it is due to a job, separation, divorce, or a disagreement in a relationship the child will grow close to the mother and not the father. If there is a lot of arguing, fighting, or disagreeing while the child is still in the womb it can make the child very distant from the parents. In any of these scenarios the child still loves their parents. It is just showing the love for their parents is what gets difficult.
According to the American Psychological Association, 40 to 50 percent of couples get divorced in the United States. This is very hard on the child. When the child is still young, below their teen years, it can cause problems latter in life. It may seem they accept their new family, new home, new friends; but things do change in life and when the child reaches their older teen years or later they may wonder what would have happened if their parents had never been divorced. This is where the blame game comes in to effect. The sad part is there is no one truly to blame, but the child won’t learn that till their adult years. That maybe a little late.
There are children that live in good homes rather if their parents got divorced or never had been divorced. One way is a divorced family can keep consistent contact. The parents need to swallow their pride and think of their children. It is like going to work and putting up with an arrogant boss. The problem is if you quit having family you cannot go get another family, at least not your true family. You quit your job there is always another one out there. Parents do not think of yourselves all the time, think what you can do for your children so the grow up with a better life than you did. If you do they will always be there for you when they reach adulthood, have a job, and have their own home. Maybe one day you will move in with them.
Love of Husband and Wife
I have heard before that love is love. I do not believe that is true. The love between a man and a woman is a love that grows. It does not have a bonding together like a child and his/her mother. I do believe we all have a soul mate that God wants us to be with in life. I believe there is a true love that God has us destined for in our life. It seems like this day and age we do not meet our soul mate or at least do not take the opportunity to take a move when we are given it.
[Whoso] findeth a wife findeth a good [thing], and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
Just because we do not meet our soul mate does not mean we do not truly love the one we are with. We are suppose to love one another as ourselves.
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
Maybe if we could show love to each other married couples will last, families will stay close, friends will be friends, and there would be more happiness and peace in the World. So the next time you see a person who needs help, has a question, or maybe someone who wants to help you thank God and be happy.

It is in our human nature to have the desire to be wanted and needed. When we have these feelings and they are fulfilled we are happy; when we do not have them fulfilled we become sad. Why do we have this nature? Well it goes back to the day of Creation by the God Almighty.
In The Beginning…
Some people believe in evolution and others, like myself, believe in Creation. I am not going to take evolution into consideration today because everything has happened for a reason. God was lonely a long time ago. Some believe millions of years ago and others thousands of years ago, but He decided to create the Universe. He created the Earth, the water, the animals, and man in six days. He even could tell that Adam, man, was lonely and created woman, Eve. God has feelings and that is why we do as well.
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was[a] on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” 7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
4 This is the history[a] of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
He gave us all we needed when He created Adam and Eve, what has gone wrong.
A Story In The Holy Bible That Did Not Happen On Earth
When the Earth was created Heaven and Earth were perfect, but with time change happens. Lucifer, “mourning star”, sinned in Heaven and was cast down to Earth. Now this implies that Creation had already happened. So it could have happened on day eight or hundreds, even thousands of years later. We just do not know. What we do know is why Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and what he did on Earth to cause sin.
Lucifer was cast down from Heaven to Earth because he was full of pride because of his beauty, wisdom, and perfection. He was and no longer is known as Lucifer he is now Satan, “adversary”.
How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer,[a] son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.
16 “Those who see you will gaze at you,
And consider you, saying:
‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble,
Who shook kingdoms,
17 Who made the world as a wilderness
And destroyed its cities,
Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’
11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God:
“You were the seal of perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God;
Every precious stone was your covering:
The sardius, topaz, and diamond,
Beryl, onyx, and jasper,
Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.
The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes
Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers;
I established you;
You were on the holy mountain of God;
You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
Till iniquity was found in you.
16 “By the abundance of your trading
You became filled with violence within,
And you sinned;
Therefore I cast you as a profane thing
Out of the mountain of God;
And I destroyed you, O covering cherub,
From the midst of the fiery stones.
17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;
You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor;
I cast you to the ground,
I laid you before kings,
That they might gaze at you.
18 “You defiled your sanctuaries
By the multitude of your iniquities,
By the iniquity of your trading;
Therefore I brought fire from your midst;
It devoured you,
And I turned you to ashes upon the earth
In the sight of all who saw you.
19 All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you;
You have become a horror,
And shall be no more forever.”’”
Ezekiel has a message. The Son of man is Satan. God sends Ezekiel a message telling him that Satan was perfect one day, then he changed. God found violence in Lucifer and cast him down from Heaven. He became evil.
It is like yin and yang. Where there is good there is evil. I have pondered this since I became a Christian when I was 12 years old. Can good exist without evil and can evil exist without good? It took me over a decade to figure this out and accept it. In Chemistry there is up to eight electrons on an element. An electron like Lithium (Li) is unstable and can give up an electron to combine with another element. An element like Argon (Ar) is stable and will not combine with another element. Now elements like Carbon (C) can go either way because they only have 4 electrons. Now you may wonder where I am going. God is like Argon. He is full of good electrons. Lucifer was like Carbon he had a choice, had strong good elements around him, but went the wrong way. We are like Lithium from our first day we are born. The one electron we have is Faith. We need to attract some electrons like us to build stronger and as we get stronger we will become stronger than Satan. The reason being we may build strong enough to have seven electrons and still feel weak, but God can give on of His electrons to get us through the hard times.
Are We All Wanted?
If you ever think you are not wanted then think of God, pray to God, read your Bible. He wants all of us. He does not want anyone not to go to Heaven in the end. If you think He does not want you that is the devil deceiving you. There are many days I feel alone, unwanted, then I think of God and I feel like I am needed again. Everything that God does gives me peace. It does not matter rather it is rain or shine, snow, fire, flowers, birds, or spiders it all touches my soul. I have even accepted death. When I know a person and I know they are saved and going to see God I am sad and happy. I am sad they are no longer with me, but I am happy they are in a perfect place, no longer suffering on Earth. Do you believe in the afterlife? Do you believe in Heaven and Hell? It is true rather you believe it or not. Have you been saved in Christ? If you have not do you wish to give yourself onto Him? if the answer is “Yes” please say this prayer:
“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

First I want to remember 9/11. Since tomorrow is the 15th anniversary of this tragedy I want to mention I will never forget what happened and who was lost. I was at work that mourning at Burger King in Camp Hill, PA. I was going to college and it was my day to open. I was in the break room when I saw the news come on and show the World Trade Center. I started crying and my heart was sadden. I told my manager and he came back, saw the news, and told the rest of the crew to come back. We told the customers what was happening at the time. When it was officially called an act of war Burger King closed for the day and we went home to be with our family. Unfortunately not everyone got to see their family that day so tomorrow make sure you remember all who were lost that day and lost in the war. Now let’s have a moment of silence. “……..”
Alright now let’s get down to some deals. I have posted on eBay many Ty Beanie Babies. I am going to share them here for you.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY — Could a system that detects wrong-way drivers now being used in Rhode Island be put into use in our area? Newswatch 16 traveled to Rhode Island to find out.
I was watching the news this afternoon and they showed how Rhode Island solved the problem of wrong way drivers. Rhode Island setup up a new system going up an off ramp to the highway. It now has a motion detector and can sense the vehicle approaching it. When a vehicle is going the wrong way a whole bunch of lights go off and the State and local police get notified for an emergency response. There has been no vehicle accidents since this has gone live in Rhode Island. I think this was a genius idea!
Now it is up to us! Every state has problems with vehicles going the wrong way. We need to spread the word. The Federal Government funds the states when it comes to improving the highway. I am from Pennsylvania and for decades there have been repairing the highway. I say get the safe signs up to save a life. What do you think? Should a life in your State be saved? Maybe even your own? Please share, comment, and like to make this go viral. Also go to the link below and share it as well. Let’s keep driving safe.
We all have new challenges everyday, week, or month. Life can get hard and frustrating, but we need to take the challenge and stay open minded or we will lose before it even begins. I started today a little rough, had an ongoing challenge, and finished the day in a good mood. I want you to finished your day happy. Here is my day and how I overcame obstacles.
Failure to Get Connected
I have had problems for three days with my WIFI. I had it for about three years and keep it busy. The first day I was not sure it was the WIFI so I did some troubleshooting and eliminated everything besides WIFI. I made my mind up the next day, which was a Sunday, I was getting a new router.
I live in the middle of no where and my phone carrier provides my DSL. They do not set-up your network for you, but will help you over the phone. They need to provide the format for the router I was installing. Since it was a Sunday no one was there. I had to wait till today, Monday, to contact them. I worked till 3 PM and they closed at 4 PM. I had a friend call to get the WIFI to connect to the internet. They got that accomplished by 11 AM. I had to work with the WIFI so it would recognize all devices on the network. Everything is working great now no problems. It feels great to accomplish a set goal and overcome a challenge. It ended a challenging day pretty good.
Problems At Work
The beginning of a new week is never the best thing when going to work. When I walked in and my manager told me I had to clean, white glove check clean, I was a little down. Do not get me wrong I do not dislike cleaning, I just do not like high expectations. This job was for a inspection and I definitely have never like them.
I set my routine for cleaning. I got rid of what was not necessary, threw away anything that needed discarded, whipped down tables and equipment to remove any excess debris or dust, and then used foam alcohol to clean the tables and debris as well as get any residual debris. It took two and a half hours to get everything done, but felt good at the end.
Struggling With Complicated Job
Well after everything was done my boss gave me a job. I did this job before, but is has been almost a year. It is also a touchy job. I cannot talk about much, but let’s say it is like a recipe that you cannot adjust the temperature of the oven, change ingredients, or put the recipe together anyway you want just the way it calls for. I do testing and this job needed done a certain way and it kept messing up. I finally caught the knack, but did not get much done.
Day Is Over And I Am Happy
Even though I have had problems today and over the weekend I am pretty happy. After dinner today I went outside and I saw the sunset. It made me think of a poem I learned when I was a kid. I was inspired by that sunset to write this blog to let you know that not everyday is a perfect day, we all have struggles, but the day comes to a close and God is there for you, He is always there.
by Emily Dickinson
I’ll tell you how the sun rose,–
A ribbon at a time.
The steeples swam in amethyst,
The news like squirrels ran.
The hills untied their bonnets,
The bobolinks begun.
Then I said softly to myself,
“That must have been the sun!”
But how he set, I know not.
There seemed a purple stile
Which little yellow boys and girls
Were climbing all the while
Till when they reached the other side,
A dominie in gray
Put gently up the evening bars,
And led the flock away.

Nightmares Come Back To Haunt Me
Do you ever have bad days, eat late, or watch scary movies? If you have you probably have not slept well or have had nightmares. I have been having nightmares on and off for the last couple weeks. I mentioned a few months ago about having nightmares. That was the first one since I was a child.
Is There A Cause Of Nightmares For Adults?
I have been wondering this for weeks. I keep Googling nightmares and I haven’t found much until today. I found out from WebMd that nightmares are not frequent in adults. There is actually only between a 2% and 8% chance that adults have nightmares.
I am learning that late night snacks, antidepressant, non-psychological medications, and narcotics can be associated with nightmares. I have seen a couple areas that might be causing my nightmares, but I thinking the late night snacks is what may be causing it.
I have been going to bed an hour early every night because I have to get up two hours early in the mourning to be to work. The afternoons I have dinner after 4:30pm I tend to have the nightmares, when I have dinner before then I sleep better and more peaceful. I have been refraining from snacking before I go to bed because that may cause the bad dreams as well. My dad told me before that he had bad dreams when he ate heavy foods before he went to bed.
I am thinking on how to solve this. I want to have dinner by 4:30 pm. Also I am looking for ways to eat healthier that is not really expensive. If your body is fighting to digest, then your mind can create almost anything in a dream or nightmare. I am also trying to find ways to eliminate stress or deal with it. I have had a lot of stress in the last few years. I think it may be getting to me. WebMd suggest yoga as a way to deal with stress. I have taken a class before in the past. I think I need to start practicing what I have learned in the past. Yoga is good, it gives you peace. If anything everyone should practice meditation. It is so easy. Find a peaceful place you find safe, some meditation music, a yoga mat, and sit on the mat, turn the music on, close your eyes, and clear your mind.

I have been through good holiday dinners and bad ones. My problem is I believe that holiday dinners should be the “perfect” dinners of the year. So if that means putting one’s pride and arrogance aside then so be it.
The Perfect Thanksgiving Dinner
I have always loved Thanksgiving since I was a child. It means plenty of great food, football, and NASCAR. When I grew up and was interested in buying Black Friday became a big interest. I love the deals and since online shopping has great deals as well it makes Black Friday even easier.
I believe the perfect Thanksgiving Dinner is when the family gets together to help prepare the meal. It is such a big meal there are many things that can be done like preparing salads, cutting veggies, preparing deviled eggs, setting the table, and more. It helps time and ease up work. It also make Thanksgiving a better family time, for Thanksgiving is because the Pilgrims and Indians sat down and had a meal with peace.
The Perfect Christmas
Christmas has changed for me over the last decade or so. I have learned the true meaning of Christmas. Today the meaning that Christmas had when I was a child does not exists anymore.
The real meaning of Christmas
You may not believe it, but there us evidence that Christmas is not when Jesus Christ was born. Christmas begins after the Romans honor the pagan god of Saturn, the god of agriculture. The Romans honored the pagan god December 17 to December 25. The Roman leader was trying to figure out when Christ was born. They believed that the Earth was created in the spring equinox, so they believed Jesus was conceived in the Spring. He would be born nine months later, in the winter. They may have been wrong.
Now looking back and reading the scripture there is some proof that Jesus was born in the Summer or early Fall. There are a couple points that I think should have made me think when I was a child. The first one is “the shepherds were in the field watching their flock at the time of Jesus’ birth.”.
Luke 2:7-8 New International Version (NIV)
7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. (Bible Gateway)
Now during the winter the shepherds would not be out in the fields with their flocks, because it would be so cold like it is in the United States. It still had to be warm, at least cool outside. Also there had to be food for the flock like grass or leaves fallen from the tree. This is why it is now being seen that Jesus was not born at Christmas. Also a pagan ritual of giving gifts, decorating with bright colors, and celebrating starts December 25th. This is what Christmas is today.
The reason for Jesus Christ our Savior
Even if Christ was not born on Christmas Day, why can’t we remember the birth of our Savior. Why does Christmas have to be about gifts, cookies, music, and big meals. Jesus was born with nothing in the World, but when He ascended into Heaven He had everything. He is giving it back to us one day if you follow Him.
Make Christmas the perfect day
We are all different. If you believe in Christ, as I do, I believe we should celebrate Christmas for Him. Seeing as Christmas is a pagan holiday I believe we should not observe their rituals. That does not mean we cannot remember Jesus Christ. You can do that by going to church, having a great Christmas dinner, do not expect any gifts but be giving, stay focused on Jesus don’t celebrate Santa, Rudolph, and the other eight reindeer.
Always Be Kind
Any holiday of the year is about friends and family getting together and being happy. If we all want to be happy then making the person next to you should make you happy. Think of this…Imagine yourself at a round table of one hundred people. If all you did was be kind to the person on your left and the person on your right then you would start a chain reaction of kindness. When each one repeats your kindness in a matter of minutes all one hundred people would be kind to each other. Now put this in your image…the table is a mix of culture, race, religion, and sex. Do you think that would change the kindness? Well I do not think so. The reason is because if people put aside all the differences for the holiday then kindness will be greater. Let’s challenge ourselves this year and into next year. Let us be kind to one another. Let us not get offended because someone has a different opinion or culture. We all were created by God and we all have a purpose in His image.
Ephesians 4:29-32 New International Version (NIV)
29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Muslims around the world are joining an anti-ISIS social media campaign sharing pictures and messages with the hashtag #NotInMyName.
Ever since 9/11 there has been hatred towards the Muslims. I understand for those people who have no understanding of religion, culture, traditions, or beliefs, because I hated the Muslims fourteen years ago. A few months after 9/11 I heard on the Late Show that it was the “Evil” Muslims. This shocked me. I was thinking rebel Muslims are attacking us. I was not sure if Jay Leno was correct or not. So I did some research to confirm or disprove what was being broadcast.
I did find out the next mourning on NBC News that we found out that a Muslim Terrorist Group attacked the World Trade Center. I was confused because I worked with a Muslim at that time. I would never label him as a terrorist. He was kind, funny, smart, a helping-hand, supportive, and loved to talk.
I had only been out of High School for a little over a year and I remembered what my English teacher taught me. She taught me there are many different kinds of people out there. It does not depend on the color of their skin, their culture, their religion, their sex, or the profession. All that it matters is their Faith. Although I am a Christian and the Muslims are mainly Islam I will say this… I believe God gave us the free will to choose for a reason. He does not want puppets. He wants us to chose to follow Him.
I believe it does not matter what religion anyone believes in, we all need to have Faith. Faith is our “Ray of Hope” for the Afterlife. One thing we all who believe in a god needs to do is make sure you believe in the True God. I am not being arrogant saying I am right, because I could be totally wrong and the Atheist is right, but I have had visions, heard the Voice, and I have been healed by God Almighty twice. Since the first day I was Saved I have felt more secure in my heart and have never doubt Him.
If everyone in the World would learn one thing from Jesus Christ I wish it would be this…
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Paris Under Attack!
I cannot believe it. I am just chilling for the night and what do I see on ABC World News? Paris, France is under attack! If I remember my history correctly they have not been to war since WWII.
I do not think this was just a suicider that did not see anything good in life any longer. I believe this was a terrorist attack. I just heard from local news, WNEP, that Jihadi John was killed a few hours ago. I believe this is an attack from the Al-Qadea. France has been there with us for a long time. We will return the favor. We will fight for them.

Stupid people can do some real dumb things. I mean like burning leaves not even ten feet away from a kerosene tank that is right behind the garage has to be pretty close to the top ten “most stupidest” things to do. Why can’t people think before they do, take advice when offered, or be safe rather than sorry. I know I rather have a roof over my head than nothing at all.
Right and Wrong Way to Burn Leaves
My step-father, which I do not consider family any longer, decided to burn leaves this weekend. I had thought about it, but it was breezy and still early. I thought if it calmed down I would burn the leaves. I was out chilling in the cool breeze and he came out and asked me if I wanted to help him burn leaves. I told him it was too breezy out and we shouldn’t burn leaves so near the garage. He just shrugged me off a lit the leaves. I brought stress, concern, worry, fear, and a lot more on me. I was so concerned about my own well being I was going to take my valuables and leave for the day. I figured if he did burn the house down I would at least have my television and laptop. All the stress knocked me out. A few hours later I woke up and he was done. The house is still standing, but that is not the point.
There are ordinances in my area that declare one has to have an open fire 15 to 20 feet away from a building or anything like trees, bushes, or a fuel tank. Most of the towns in the county are under burning bans. He may only burn leaves and trash because he lives in a rural area and the population is lower then what is required to issue the burning ban.
My opinion he was wrong because he did not be safe. He is also wrong because someone, me, pointed out a mistake and he chose to ignore it. He is stupid because he cannot think what could happen, especially when it comes to the house, garage, cars, money, and everything else. Finally he is unorganized when it comes to do tasks. When he replaces a wheel on a car he has to keep going back to garage 10 times or more. He cannot prepare ahead of time.
This scares me. The reason is I cannot do anything for him because he will not let me help. He will not listen to what I have learned to be safe or more efficient. I could have a way to save him a million dollars in taxes and he would not want to hear me. I fear for his life, for his well being, my mother’s mental and emotional well being, financial standings, and more. I have given up. He has been like this for the last 20 years and is getting worst. I can take some advice. Please if anyone sees the blog and has some advice for me make a comment. I need help

I take the quizzes on Facebook every now and then. You just click on them and gives you a result. Well this quiz was “What song are you?”. I like music, in my opinion, I am creative and realistic so I thought it would be way off. I was so wrong.
This link told me my song was Imagine by John Lennon. I first heard this song when I was a teenager. I loved watching Quantum Leap because it was inspiring to me that one person could help the World so much. When I heard Imagine it made me cry and still does today.
I was raised in a Christian family, went to church, graduated from a Christian High School, and I am 100% positive there is an omnipotent being that created everything and has a purpose for us. I believed this since I was a child. My mother believes I got saved, dedicating ones life to Jesus Christ keeps your soul from hell, because of a free religion church. Well she is wrong. When I started going to a Christian school I was 12. My principal preached to us every Friday and talked during gym, choir, and Bible. He asked once if we ever doubted that Jesus existed. He also asked if we believe there is an all powerful being. That is when it hit me… I do! I knew there had to be something in control, nothing can happen by chance. Even if evolution was the way we were created the process happened the way it did because of a supernatural being. That day I decided to dedicate the life God the Almighty gave me back to Him. I talked to my principal near the end of the day, because we had choir, and he congratulated me for my decision. We bowed our heads a prayed to God for Salvation. If you are wondering how to get Saved here is a scripture
9 that i if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.11 For the Scripture says, j “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 6 12 For k there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for lthe same Lord over all m is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For n“whoever calls o on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” – New King James Version (NKJV) Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. www.allaboutgod.com
I have had a feeling since I was a teenager that I would have a position of authority. I wanted to go into the Air Force, but I have a disorder and would never get accepted. Then as I got my first summer job I saw myself taking care of my parents forever so they would never need anything. This was good because it gave me ambition. I tried selling Cutco knives, fail, then I got a job at McDonald’s. It worked out good and I liked fast food. When I went to college I got a job at Burger King and wanted to make Manager. I did get moved up in ranking among the crew, but never made Shift management.
While I was working in two fast food jobs I was going to college for Computer Aided Drafting and Design. I really enjoyed the class, but I hit an obstacle my last semester. I was having issues with civil engineering. All i had to do was calculate coordinates where I wanted the line to draw. It is like playing connect the dots on a x,y axis. I got frustrated and dropped the class. I never returned. I guess my dream was shattered, it became a nightmare.
Many more dreams
I have always believed I could do what I set my mind to. I thought I was realistic. Thinking I maybe wrong. I did live a dream though. I made manager at a restaurant where I currently live, unfortunately it is like one day I woke up and reality bite me in the butt. I was demoted because I sent a crew member home because they were being subordinate. I left that job and went to a factory working 12 hour shifts. Meanwhile I attempted to start an online business. It did not work. I don’t know maybe that was a dream within a dream. I always kept positive that it would pickup and my business would go viral. Then the sun rose and I woke up again.
So many dreams that never come true. When true life is not and more than likely will never be what you dream it to be. I dream of living in the city with lots of lights and much to do, family wife two kids, pool, sports car, truck, and a restaurant with customers that my business makes happy everyday. All is a dream and none has come true. Face it reality bites.
I choose to share this because this is truly me.
You are born dreamer. Your grandiose visions of a better world, are unfortunately the reason that you fail again and again into the harsh realities of the world as it is. But no matter how many times you fall on your face, you stand up again and stay true to your ideas. And at least in the small areas, you make sure that there is an oasis of peace for family and friends.
John Lennon- Imagine

I was just browsing through Facebook and I saw a post of my cousin. We were born in the same month and, like me, her birthday is coming soon. She made an event to let us know that she did not want a birthday gift. Seems a little odd, right!
Don Not Be Self-Centered, Share Even On Your Birthday
If you think it is odd she did not want a birthday gift, then you may be a little selfish. She wants to help out her sister and a friend with financial medical problems. Now I am sure you have had financial issues when you or one in your family had a severe medical problem. I know I have, I have been there, but we are not talking about me.

Life is so difficult. We have challenges in childhood, as an adult, and growing old. We all are so selfish on life, do we show sympathy for others?
A Friend, Like A Father, Is On A Spiral
I met a friend of mine almost 15 years ago. Today he is in Williamsport Hospital and will be getting his second foot removed. He has had thick blood for a long time. It has caught up to him. When I fist met him he worked at an auto shop. His daughter was only 5 years old. Time flies by but not always for the better.
When I was doing advertising for Amazon he had his first leg removed. He was really depressed and didn’t know how he would get around. I showed him a wheelchair carrier I sold. He liked it because it would fit good on his van, easy to take his wheelchair up, and is sturdy. This cheered him up a little, but over the last few years he has gotten even more depressed.
A little over a year ago he had to have a foot removed. They severed from below the knee. It had to heal before he could get an artificial leg, he still has not gotten one yet. As of Sunday it was determined that he would have to have the other foot removed as well. I was so sad for him. He had to make a decision to have it removed or not. I had reached my opinion decision, but that does not matter it is all up to him.
Yesterday he made the decision to have the foot removed. Why he decided this I do not know yet. I do think this is a good decision though. His doctor said that he would get him fitted for an artificial leg for the one he had done last year. He will have to undergo therapy for awhile. In the meantime his new leg will be made and he should get it in two weeks. Then in six months to a year he can get one for the foot he had removed yesterday. I hope within the next year or two he get back to the ways he was five years ago. He will be able to mow the lawn, cook on the grill, and probably be able to drive again. He will not feel helpless. I know it will get better.
I think we all, except those born into money, have had a financial hardship. I have had it, my parents have had it, my friends have had it, and my co-workers have had it. I think if everyone who has had a financial hardship named who they know in the same situation the list would be indefinite. These are hard-times. We need to make plans, budget, and save.
My first financial hardship was when I graduated high school and moved out of town and went to college. I went to ITT Technical Institution for Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD). The class was five days a week and four hours a day. I had two jobs, one in the mourning and one in the evening. Everything was cheaper back then and the pay in Harrisburg, PA was not that bad at that time. The problem I had was coming home every weekend and using a full tank of gas, going out to eat all the time, going to the bar, buying video games, well blowing my money. I never learned about budgeting my money until a few years ago. If we do not budget our money we are not aware where our money goes. We will spend money when we do not have it, up our credit cards, and go into debt. Stay out of debt by simply budgeting your income and expenses. Trust me it needs to be done. If you want to learn how to manage you debt Click Here!
We all have problems in life, we just need to find a solution.

This week was a long, long week. I must say “Thank God It’s Friday!“. Getting a new job is rough and not be able to schedule your own breaks makes it a little rougher. I have learned more this week, which is good, also got a lecture from my supervisor.
A couple weeks ago I was transferred to another department. I started out testing circuit boards, now I am assembling devices. This is not really that difficult to do, but can be annoying. The visual aids I see to help me assemble sometimes look deceptive. They can also tell you one description on one step and another description on the next step. This is annoying to me because I have already messed up and had to redo my work this week because the procedure was deceptive. It was not like this when I was testing circuit boards. My supervisor then made sure all procedures were up to date and not misleading. I want to go back.
I mentioned about not being able to schedule my own breaks. Well when I first started about eleven months ago I was allowed to take my break when I wanted to, as long as it was a time breaks were scheduled. There is an early break and a late break. I prefer the late break because it seems so long until first break and it seems like I never have enough time after late last break. When it comes to last break either you take break 10 minutes before the hour or on the hour. A whole hour to get my job done is more beneficial to getting more done, at least that is the way I am.
This just has not been the perfect week. I have not slept well, have had headaches, have had problems finding things that were right in front of me, and in pain. I decided to relax after work, made a few drinks, and write this blog. I think after this I am going to play a few games and just enjoy myself. If you have had a rough week do not stress tonight and relax, you deserve it. Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

I have had a new job for almost a year now. We get mandated overtime at least once a month and can volunteer for any other weekend. Although recently for the last couple months the have stopped overtime all together in my department. I was planning to go off this weekend, but plans get changed.
My boss informed us this Thursday that we got mandate for Saturday, yesterday, and ten hours on Monday thru Wednesday. I got to wondering, why just four days? Then it hit me. It is the end of the month and the end of the quarter. We have to be the most productive and efficient as possible. It make sense to me from the business angle. Although I wish this happened last week. I don’t know why, but I just don’t want to work it the last week of the month.

Wow I must saw wow what a game! I am into football and NASCAR, but when Michael Vick left at half-time due to pulled hamstring I was wondering what the Steelers would do. I saw this young kid walk in and wondered who is he? They said that this was his first play in the NFL fresh from college. I was so doubtful for a minute, and then…
The Second Half
The second half came and no Michel Vick, instead Landry Jones third string walked onto the field. It appears that Vick had pulled his hamstring. It seems like The Pittsburgh Steelers were in trouble. When Jones made his first play officially in the NFL he made a great complete pass. He completed 8 of 12 passes and scored twice. I did notice on flaw at least he needs to work on. He was doing continuous passes to Antonio Brown. This is not good. I have noticed Ben Roethlisberger has had this flaw too. He has a play that works he will keep doing it until he can’t get it to work.
Big Ben may be a veteran and know how to make a come back, but Jones still needs well defined. This is where Big Ben comes in good. Now I am not saying kick out the veteran and bring in the rookie, no never. I am just saying Big Ben is getting up there, his body isn’t as well as it was 20 years ago, and he needs time with family. I think this is up to him, but I also believe that he hasn’t retired because he loves the game and finding someone to replace him. Now that may be possible. I do not think it will be this year and more than likely not next year, but by 2017 I think if it all goes great Big Ben may retire and Jones may be the new starter. We will see.

Does time heal all wounds? I think there are some things this is true, but most things in our life it does not. In everyone’s life there are good and bad times. We need to resolve the bad times in life before we no longer have the chance. Do you have wounds that are still in pain?
Wounds Time May Heal
When we are children we do not understand the way our parents raise us. We may have had conflicts with other children, have social issues, or not have received name brand products from our parents. I do not want to blame the parents for everything, but some may be their fault.
I want to go with the name brand products. All kids in their teen years get pier pressure. They get pushed into what clothes, what shoes, how to do their hair, drugs, and more. parents need to decide where to draw the line. If the parents are not in such a financial hardship that they cannot get the child name brand product then I believe they should. If the child is hanging out with children in a crowd with drugs, alcohol, and violence then the parent has the God given right to set their foot down. The wrong crowd will affect the child’s future. They may end up in jail, selling drugs, or be killed before they become an adult. When it comes to clothes and styling your hair that is almost insignificant. As long as they do not want to dress offense to others then I believe let the child express themselves.
The reason I address this is because my family when I was growing up was in financial struggles. My parents were divorced. My mother remarried and we moved out in the boom docks. When I was in public school at that time I was depressed and confused. I got harassed and wanted out. My mom gave in a sent me to a private school. She was getting child support for me and used it to pay for my tuition. I could not understand why she couldn’t get me new shoes, cool clothes, video games and more. She had a job, my step-dad had a job and business, and she was getting child support for me. When i got latter in my teen years she explained that the child support paid for my tuition, food for school, some clothes, and skiing. I think that was the first life lesson I learned. A couple years down the road I figured that all need to work together to meet a goal. So if I want name brand products I need to get a job and I did. My Junior and Senior years in High School I was working at McDonald’s. I bought better clothes and better shoes. It made my mom happy cause i was becoming responsible. In a way I did it out of love for her and myself. She still took care of my tuition and food for lunch with the child support. I think that was my ground base that all families need to work together to help each other out. After all we all have the same blood.
There Are Wounds Not Even Time Helps
There are many times in everyone’s life that hurt our heart and soul that time will not heal. Even if the wound heals a scare is left to remind us of what happened in the past.
My time in the past I will never forget and never stop being sad over is the lost of a friend in Junior High School. She was the perfect girl, a friend, a Christian, sweet, cared for others, a died of cancer as a teenager. She did not do anything wrong that she deserved to die, but God choose to take her from the Earth. I think of her from time to time because I miss her and I wish more people were like her. It took me some time to get to the stage of acceptance. Want to know how?
My church was having a revival. In one of the sermons I learned that God has a purpose for all of us, even the ones who pass at an early age in life. Sometimes God takes the good Christians early because they have reached what He sent them for. I do not know why He took her, but I like to believe she reached what God had sent her for early in life and God took her home. One day I will see her again, I just wish I could have been or could have reached what she did 20 years ago.
The lost of a loved one, betrayal, abuse, and a lot more can cause permanent wounds or scares. They will not go away we just need to deal with it. That is where God, family, and counseling comes into play. You talk to God about your problems in life and he will listen. He may not fix it, but He will help you deal with it. Talking to your family helps because they may have had similar issues in their past. Confiding into family should be the best way to deal with your life wounds second to God. Finally if you do not feel comfortable talking to family or God, then counseling is a good idea. They will listen to you. I am not talking about a “shrink”. A counselor is like in high school. You go talk to them about problems, ideas you may have, or achievements and do some bragging. Whatever you need to get your past dealt with do it. My past is still haunting me, but I am in progress of getting it all dealt with. Are you?

Have you ever done a favor for a friend or a relative and not received a favor in return? Does this make you feel wrong? Does it make you feel angry? Maybe you feel betrayed? Well if you do feel this way you are not alone. There are many people out there who do favors, but do not expect anything in return. They do however hope for kindness from friends and families that they always help and support. Should we show kindness and hope for kind acts in return? Maybe we should set a common ground for acts of kindness to get kindness back?
Be Kind One To Another
I have always wondered why so many people were so mean. Why cannot everyone return kindness with kindness. The Holy Bible, God, tells us we should be kind on to another, forgive one another, because God has forgiven us. Why is it so hard to forgive a person who has made a mistake? In the previous years I have studied and have been educated in The Holy Bible and Life. The Bible sometimes make life seem so simple, but growing up from a child to teen years, and then to adulthood can be complicated. Life does not always go as we plan it. When things go downhill we need support from family and friends.
Family and friends need to stand by each other’s side. We all need support in life. We all have good times and hard times, but does everyone have someone by their side? Well unfortunately I have to say, “No!”. Today there are so many. According to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, an American dies every 12.95 minutes. They also tell us that every woman that committs suicide four men do as well, although 3x as many women attempt suicide. There are more than 1.5 million years of life lost every year due to suicide.
You may not be religious, but we all should have morals. If you are a moral person you are, . I hope this is you. I know my baseline is moral, but there are times I stray away and make wrong, immoral decisions. We are all human and we all make mistakes. The good thing about being moral you can look back on the mistakes you have made and learn, and then improve yourself. This is good for yourself, your family, and business.
Do I Have The Right To Get Back At One Who Hurts Or Offends Me?
When it comes to getting back at the jerk in your life, do you think you have the right to get even? Well I use too when I was a child. My dad talked to me about laws. He told me, “It Does not matter if you are the offender or the offended one cannot commit a crime like assault.” I did not agree and fully understand when I was a child. When I went to a Christian School I learned about how to get even. You ask God! Psalms 68:18-20 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.- Psalms 68: 19
Today I have learned that God takes our burdens and He gets even for us as well. I will give you a high school story. When i was in Junior High School I was being threatened by a classmate. It got so bad I transferred to a different school, private school. I left all my friends, my teachers, and times I loved in school. In about three years we were classmates again. He got kicked out of school and had to go to summer school. When my friends found out he was coming they had a talk with him. He changed, he was spoken to by Christ, he now decided to become a morale person that is what my friends told me. I was in doubt, but open minded, everyone changes one way or another, The first day of school came and we met again for the first time. I was shocked he was nice, complimenting, encouraging, fun to be around, and funny. I wish we were friends longer because he was pretty cool. The last year I was at the school I left I said a lot of prayers of the jerks being cool with me. I have met almost all the jerks from school since then and now they are pretty cool. we all change, but having God as our Light in the Darkness gives us Hope.
Life is hard. Always remember God has plans for us in the afterlife. He will give us rewards in Heaven. Are you Saved? Have you strayed from Christ? Say a prayer. Here is what I said to God when I got saved, “God, I love you, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. I am sorry for all the sins I have committed in my life, please forgive me. I offer you my soul and my spirit for Salvation. I look forward to the day we meet in the many years to come. Thank -You God for my Salvation. Amen” After I said this prayer I felt the Spirit inside me, I knew I was saved. I have fallen back in my life and have said almost the same prayer, but asked for forgiveness. If you have any questions, especially about Salvation leave a response and I will help you. God Bless You All.

My last week was so rough. I do not know exactly why, but all week my body was in severe pain. I still had to go to work, had to get things done at home, and had appointments. Then the weekend came and I decided to take it off.
Going Through A Rough Week You Deserve A Break
We all need some time off from life. We need time to relax, to yourself, to go fishing, to catch up on things that you have wanted to do for a long time. This is not selfish as long as it is not done on a regular bases. We all need a peace of mind, to come back to one’s personal reality away from all the stress in life.
Under A Lot of Stress That No One Will Understand
We all have our major stresses in life. You may think that no one will understand why you are so stressed out about it. You may be right to a point. People around you may not be able to relate to what you are currently stressing about, but you are also wrong. Everyone has had a major stressful point in life. You may not see their stress relates to yours, but to them it does. You have a major stress talk to a friend you are close with. Explain why you are stressed out, then they will be able to relate to it. They maybe able to offer advice, compassion, and moral support. This will help you get through your “rough road” because the road will begin to get smoothed and you path will open up.
We all go through hard times and life, some harder than others. There is a reason for these. According to The Holy Bible (King James Version) God puts us through test known as trials and tribulations. Here are a few scriptures that may help you through some hard times in life.
- 1 Peter 5:10 – But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].
- Romans 12:12 – Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
- James 1:2-8 – My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.8 A double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways.
- Joshua 1:9 – Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9 is one of my favorites. So many of us are afraid to take a chance in life. To take a leap forward, even if we will get out of the hole. If you have Faith in God then He will be there for you. I tell He is because I know. If it was not for Him I would not be blogging today. Evil thoughts have gone through my mind the last couple years, but my Faith kept me wanting to move forward. I had thoughts of suicide, but He spoke to me that it would not solve anything. He has been there my whole life for me, that is why I love the Lord God Almighty and Jesus Christ my Savior. If you are interested in more about God, Jesus, Faith, or Salvation drop a comment. We might not know it, but some simple things we learn as a child can really impact us for the good as adults. If we do not learn as a child we should not blame our parents, because there is many ways to learn a life lesson. Sometimes children are not given money, chores or pets because of lack of trust, religion, culture, or a parent’s childhood. One thing we all need to remember we are all unique, we learn different ways than others.
Looking Back To Childhood
When I was a child I was given responsibilities. These were chores I was suppose to get done everyday because I was the man of the house. This confused me as a child. I am the youngest of two, I have an older sister, and at that time my Step-Father was more than able to take care of chores around the house. I saw it as they were trying to push “work” off on me. I thought, “If I have a job then I won’t have to do this dumb chores.”. I was such a fool when I was young. Although when I got my first job, it was a summer job, I felt appreciated, felt accomplished, felt like there was a meaning for what I did. It was encouraging to me. I thought at the time it was just the paycheck, but now I think it is more.
What does a paycheck mean to you?
When I got my first paycheck I felt accomplished. My first week was so stressful. I wondered if it was worth it, but the paycheck told me it was. We get a check either weekly or bi-weekly and it makes us feel the job is worth the effort because we need the income. Although when you were a child did you really know what feeling accomplished was like? I mean parents say “Thank-You” or “I appreciate” is great but giving an allowance not only makes a child feel accomplished it teaches the life lessons on budgeting.
There are many ways a child can be taught money management. An allowance is the best way. Bank of America has seven tips on better money habits.
- Know your child– When your child gets to a certain age they will come to an understanding about money. An allowance allows your child to understand about the difference between buying a video game or renting a video game.
- Decision, Give An Allowance For Good Grades or Doing Chores– Sixty-one percent of parents give their kids an allowance for doing chores, as 48% give their children an allowance for good grades. (According to the American Institute for CPAs). Now rewards for good grades is a great idea, but there are mentally challenged children that may not be diagnosed later in life. Paying for doing chores may not sound like a great idea, but can teach responsibility. Let’s say they are responsible for five things a week and you would pay them $5.00. They agree but you set conditions. The first I would set would be a dollar per chore so if they only do 4 out of 5 they will only get $4.00.
- Chores Are A Good Idea– According to the AICPA, 89% of parents require the children to earn their allowance. According to financial experts, allowance is a learning tool and should not be tied with chores. If you agree with this then you can encourage your children to help out around the house and give the allowance as a reward.
- Make the decision on how your child can spend their allowance– You may think you wouldn’t have the right, but you do. The Government makes laws on when and how we can spend our money legally. We are not allowed to buy alcohol before we are 21. Well I am sure most people had their first job before then. So as a parent you can limit spending on video games, toys, educational, school, recreation, saving, donation, and more. Make rules and if the do not follow you can “Fine” them. You can do that by holding a week’s allowance or by having them pay you.
- Teach How To Save– Saving is important at any stage in life. It does not matter if a child wants to save for a video game or an adult wants to save for a car or home. Saving is important! We never know what will happen tomorrow. Teaching a child to save while their still in elementary school can encourage the teenager in high school to save for college.
- Is Charity Required– Make the decision as a parent if given to charity is required. I grew up as a Christian and still a Christian today. I believe in giving 10% to the church or those who need the help. It depends on religion and culture in your family, but giving to a charity is always good. Let them choose as well.
- Determine the “Do Not Do” list– Give your children a little free way but you have the right to tell them what is off limits. It would not be good if your child goes and spends money on junk food or just toys.
So now do you think giving a child responsibilities and rewarding with an allowance is good? Should they just get an allowance to learn how to manage money? Maybe you think an allowance is just another cost to you because you get the kid what they want? I want to know you opinion. I have mine. I think children should get it as a reward. They should also lose part of their allowance if some of their chores are not done. Actions have consequences. What do you think?

When we think of seizures, we often only picture how the patient goes into convulsions – but there are actually different types of seizures (divided into major groups) that have varying symptoms depending on where they originate in the brain.
I find this important because I have had seizures my entire life. Everyone needs to be aware of the symptoms because if you are ever around a person having a seizure you need to either help them or call 911. Life is not easy if you are normal, it is definitely not easy having epilepsy. Please read the article so you may be aware of those around you. It may save their life, maybe even your’s.

ABC is pulling a “Hogan Family” move in the wake of cancelling “Roseanne” last month: It’s ordered a 10-episode spinoff called “The Conners” that will feature the show’s cast, minus Roseanne Barr, according to TV By The Numbers. The network pulled the plug on the “Roseanne” revival, its top-rated show in 2017-18, on May 29 after Barr sent a racist tweet about former Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarret. Talk of a spinoff focused on the rest of the Conner family has percolated since then.
