The Chase is On
Today is the last NASCAR Sprint Cup Race before The Chase begins. Right now there are 14 drivers in the Chase and 2 drivers that may still make it tonight at Richmond International Speedway. The Chase locked drivers are in order for now: Jeff Gordon 872 pts, Dale Earnhardt Jr 851 pts, Joey Logano 791 pts, Brad Keselowski 782 pts, Jimmie Johnson 766 pts, Carl Edwards 755 pts, Kevin Harvick 748 pts, Kasey Kahne 708 pts, Kyle Busch 657 pts, Denny Hamlin 636 pts, Kurt Busch 614 pts, Aric Almirola 594 pts, AJ Allmendinger 590 pts, and Matt Kenseth 794 pts. Two drivers have a chance to make it in the Chase are Ryan Newman and Greg Biffle, 747 and 728 pts respectively. Neither one has a win, but that may change tonight at Richmond.
After tonight the Chase is on! Who may win? I do not know about you but I am routing for Dale Jr. He has done great this year. He has three wins and is only 21 points behind Jeff Gordon. Jimmie Johnson is another I have been keeping my eye on. He has done great this year, but has had problems. I really thought it was going to be Jimmy and Dale Jr in first and second.
Here is the schedule for The Chase for The Sprint Cup. It starts on September 14th at Chicagoland Speedway for the Challenger round. The Challenger round will finish up on September 28th at Dover International Speedway. Then on October 5th the Contender Round begins at Kansas Speedway. This will be finalized at the Geico 500 at Talladega Speedway. Now racers better be scoring good because Eliminators Round will be coming up next starting at Martinsville Speedway, October 26th. I love this track. Then this will be concluded at Phoenix International Raceway on November 9th. Finally the finale race will be on November 16th, Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Then after the race the winner of the Chase will receive the Cup. Wow I cannot wait. Then after this I cannot wait for NASCAR to return again. I love NASCAR.
So who do you think will win? Who do you think should win?
