We all have New Years Resolutions. Is yours to lose a few pounds or be more active this new year? Then let’s keep track. You need to keep track of your heart rate if you have cardiovascular disease. If you are just going for a walk and want to keep track of your heart rate then this will be great for you as well.
Normally your heart rate is 60-80 beats per minute (BPM). When you work out, go for a brisk walk, or even clean the house you can increase your heart rate to burn fat. The more beats per minute the more calories you will burn. Do not work out too much which it causes to much stress on your heart. If you are beginning to work out, then continue to move up your BPM.
Now working out is great for the new year, but calorie intake is also a key. You may take in to many calories or you may not take enough in. We need our calories because we burn them for energy. I suggest keep track for at least a week consistently of the calories you intake and the calories you burn. If you intake more than your burning, then you need not to intake so much or work out and burn more. If you are intake less than you are burning, then that is good because you are burning calories. Although do not go to low cause that can cause problems.
