I totally agree with him. I have been through some rough times in my life. I went from being a positive thinker to being full blown negative thinker. A few years ago I lost everything. I filed bankruptcy, sold some of my belongings, and had to really on my mother to get by. My mind told me life was over. The thought of suicide did go through my mind, but because of being a Christian, educated in a Baptist school, grew up in a Pentecostal church I refused to listen to my negative side. It gave me the ray of hope. When you are down, out, and on your last breath God is there for you. This is why I started my blog. I didn’t have anyone that wanted to listen to me release my frustrations. Blogging really helped me get the stress off my mind. It got me out of the house and going looking for jobs. I went to the temp agencies and one of them got me a job that I am at today. Now I am out of my mother’s house, budgeting my income, spending some time out, and hanging with friends without someone hanging over me. This is what I call happiness.
I said all that to tell you that there were times I gave myself some fun. Everyday I played games on my laptop. I still do that to a point. It is relaxing to me. Although I still get things done at home. Also I would drink liquor back in my room. She did not like this but did not really do anything about it. That helped me relieve stress. These were all things I found “fun”. They did not keep me happy. Just for the time I did them.
I just want to say be happy. Let those around you be happy, even if you cannot be happy. The reason is because happiness can pass like a bug. When it gets one person it will go to another.
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
